You could just go to the Devin Townsend section and ask him what he used in those videos. The tone in the first video isn't particulary impressive though, you should be able to get that with your pod .

At some point he listed his pod settings for Ziltoid....at least I think he did. When I saw him on this latest tour it looked like was using a Mesa preamp and a bunch of other rack gear through Peavey 6505 cabs. Just mess with sounds and your technique and find something that sounds close.

nah, on his latest tour he is using an axe-fx ultra through two peavey cabs, one for dry, one for wet signal. dunno which power amp.

Maybe just try to experiment a bit with things he usually used (he may use Axe fx now, but I don't think it's much different sounding from the older stuff) - liek using some Mesa-ish model with moderate gain + overdrive pedal stuck in front of it (with moderate gain as well).

Together with stupid amounts of delay, holding pick in a weird fashion like Dev does and shaving your head clean should grant decent results :>
