Hey everyone. I haven't been on these forums for a long time (used to post quite a bit back in the day), but I thought some of you might be interested in the music I've been working on this year!

The release is called Arctic and the title track features Dan Tompkins, the new singer for UK band Tesseract. The EP branches from it's post-rock beginning to an epic atmospheric metal finale.

Let us know what you guys think!

I wasn't sure at first, but it's really good man.

Dan does have a cracking voice on him - it lends itself really well to the harmony parts in the track.

I'd love to hear him do more things like this, and more things with you.

I completely agree with your concept of the arctic in the music - it does sound cold, with a crystalline quality every now and then. It's quite striking in places.

Good job man

I'm uploading the track with Dan's vocal onto Myspace tomorrow; he really is an amazing talent.

Damn. You are extremely lucky. Tell him to get ahold of me LOL.

Man, get this; all I did was add him on Myspace and comment saying that I was fan and that It'd be cool if could check out my music. He did AND he replied saying he'd love to guest on the track.
Obviously blown away by this I said 'Fuck yeah boiii' and got him in on the track.

Tip for anyone trying to get off the ground; just ask, and see what happens. Can't hurt.

Thanks for the comments so far guys! :D

He had basically just gotten into Tesseract and was working on the first part of the vocal tracks for One when I got a hold of him. However, under his label contract, he has limited freedoms with guesting on recordings now; so I guessin that sense I was incredibly lucky! Hit him up though, he's a genuine dude and will actually take the time to listen to your stuff if you leave him a comment :)
