Hey guys! I just have started my adventure with guitar and Devin is my damn idol.

I wanna learn playing guitar trying to play his songs but I can't find good guitar tabs...

Namely I am downloading guitar tabs for song "truth" and I can see there something like:

then I can see that Devy is playing totally different...

My hand is so newbie and I can't stretch my fingers so well yet (8fret to 12fret or even more sick 8 to 13)

I can clearly see that Devin is playing it without stretching his fingers so much so it looks like these tabs are not true.


Does anyone know where can I get his good guitar tabs? Maybe somone has personal collection with goodtabs or something


Please help me if you can as I want to learn from his songs and I dunno how without tabs

Atm I wanna start with easy songs (which are not easy at all for me atm lol) like Truth, Deadhead

Are you playing the same tuning as Devin? Truth is probably in open C so if you're in something else it'll look and/or sound different probably.

The tuning is fine. Move the 8 and 10 down a string. Not directly of course, just play the same notes on the string below it. The fret numbers will be 13 and 15 (on the low G string).

Also, search/browse the forums. There are plenty of good (and decent at the very least) tabs floating around here.

Also, work on some stretching exercises, you'll find it to be useful for plenty of Dev songs.

it is much better than normal tabs floating arounds inet, especially when I can't stretch my fingers so well (8-12 or 8-15)

Btw I am having some real problems making my guitar sound as in the "Truth" song. I know that almost noone use their pc as an amp here but maybe you can tell me what effects I have to use so it will sound better? delays? reverbs?

Sorry, man. I've been busy, what with the holidays and all. It might be easier if you just upload the tab you've got and I'll edit the bits that need it--as long as it's Guitar Pro. I have a Mac, so I can't use Power Tab Editor.

By the way, "Truth" has some decent stretches in it if you're just starting out, so don't be turned away by a challenge.

I really like these stretches because it is a great exercise for my noob hand but sometimes things seems to be impossible for my small hand ;p


Yea it is a guitar pro file, I have also your txt tab but it is missing middle part.


I have uploaded guitar pro file in attachment.

The version of GP I have tends to fail and "quit unexpectedly," so I didn't do a full edit job--just Dev's track. Anyway, I'm not completely sure of some of the chords in the big intro. riff. In the coming weeks I'll probably have the time to pin them out exactly, and I'll post it if/when I do. For the time being, I play them a little differently from that tab. Just experiment and find something that sounds good, though.
