considering modern technology, if a sound is originally taken from a guitar, no matter how modified, it is a guitar's "tone".
I mean, listen to Tom Morello: whatever the fuck he's doing, the crazy sounds he makes, it's with a guitar and pedals!

Lol I think he was talking about a digital processor to make the distorted tone. I'm using a Line 6 POD X3 Live in my video of Addicted and I think my tone sounds somewhat similar to what Dev used on it.

There's no doubt that a lossless version would overall make the track sound better, but compression generally effects the upper and lower levels first, it's really not going to have that profound of an effect on the guitar rift at the beginning of the song. But yeah, I can't wait to hear it either. I got my ASUS EssenceSTX and Sennheiser 650's waiting.
