I, not being a legal age, have not had a tattoo... but i'd love to know what it feels like

Theres a complete mix in peoples reactions and 'stories'... some people say they didn't feel a thing, and others say it really is painful...

My sister went with one of her (male) friends to watch them get one, and she said he was going all red and straining really bad, lol

lol i wasn't like THAT, but I did wince a couple of times. A lot of people say it feels like a cigarette digging into your skin, but I would have to attribute it more to a hundred hornets and wasps stinging and biting you in the same spot over and over. Then again, I'm a tall skinny guy so the sides of the tattoo are right on top of muscle and bone, not just muscle lol the center though (where the muscle is) feels only like beestings

Tattoo pain is really kinda weird.

I didn't tink mine was that bad, but its not like a stroll in the park either. :P It's nothing like getting pierced. I'm not sure which one Id prefer out of a tattoo or a piercing. :P But I want more of both. :D

I think the best way to describe is liek (IthinkI already said) a hot thing dragging across your skin. Like a biro pen, but gently on fire while stabing you. :P

It's not the worst pain I've been though though.

How many do you have? I'm trying to figure out the second one I want and where. Will be getting it in June, followed by a third probably in September.

Only the one, its on the back of my neck.

I was thinking of maybe getting it a touched up a little, as I think I fidgeted. But I might just be fussy. :P

Got a piccy of yours? :D

That's a good assessment - hot, dragging. I always told people it felt like a cat scratch, over and over again in the same area. Yeah it's uncomfortable, but it's not nearly as bad as you imagined it to be, yeah? That seems to be the consensus - which is why I think people always go back for more, because they survived the first time! :P

You better get some pics up soon OceanMachine! :)

I'm really not one to talk about tattoos or piercings as I don't have any and probably won't ever get one either. (If anything, it'd be a small and inconspicuous tattoo.. dunno what of though.) But whenever I see someone with a lot of piercings I can't help but think of pain. :p I also wonder if those things continue to be 'in the way', like if you casually scratch a pierced eyebrow of pick your pierced nose... What about in 30 years, when everything is starting to hang and sag and stuff...

Curious though, what *is* the worst physical pain you've had, if not a tattoo/piercing session? Mine would probably have to be my bone marrow biopsy a few years back. There's really nothing like the feeling of a big needle poking a hole in your spine and then having some fluids sucked out of it.

Sixteen hours of labour ending in a caesarian section and then being forced to stand-up and try to walk to the toilet by a grumpy nurse after my spinal anaesthetic had worn off. That was a sea of pain.

See, people? That's some hardcore body modding, not puny tatoos and piercings.

Well, piercings aren't that bad. I guess if it starts to sag (ew. D: ) You can just take it out, and you'll jsut be left with a tiny scar, if that. (Or so I'd of thought.) Tattoos, obviously not so much. :P

You learn to adapt to piercings quite quickly too. I rarely catch my ears, and I've not caught my belly bar so far. My nose I caught a few times, mostly when trying to wash my face, haha. But I got around that. Until I ripped it out in my sleep. ):

Worst physical pain though... I'm not sure to be honest. I don't really remember. :P I think the worst was when I broke my elbow, but that wasn't too bad, more just annoying and uncomfortable. I don't think it was a bad break though.

And dude, ow that sounds horrid. What was wrong?
