Dan, I was introducing a friend to Ki last night because I had a sneaking feeling he'd like it, and I told him Terminal was nothing short of beautiful. Yeah, he loved the album, but I got told to man up! I say give it another few listens and he'll see what I mean.

This album is just what I needed to get me out of my recent rut.

I was listening to Ki and Quiet Riot driving on my way home. These two songs brought up feelings that I forgot music could bring up.

And btw, trainfire rocks! The whole album is a big piece of art!

It is weird how for some, an album can be a grower, but for others it is a smack in the face right away. I remember the first time I heard Infinity, I hated it. I had just got into OM, and was freaking over City as well (The late 90's was an awesome time for music!). I didn't know what to think, it sounded so alien.......pun intended. Needless to say after about a week it was my fave album of all time, and still is. Maybe it was just the time of my life....hell, it could have been a number of factors. I just feel really connected to it.

I feel the same abut Ki, but it was immediate. Well, I guess OM was immediate too.....Fuck, I can't do this! They are all so good....

Anyway, yea.....maybe your pal will come around like I did with Infinity. Man up? I dunno.....I think it takes more of a man to be vulnerable. You can't be macho 24/7, right?

Bunch of pussys... lol just kidding. Whoever said about it having the feel of ass sordid demos i agree with that, i got that feeling before i even heared the lyrics to soft in ki.

Ki gets better with every listen, listened to it 5 times in 3 days.

5 or so listens in and all I can say has already been said I guess.

What a beautiful album. Incredible production, hypnotic guitars, amazing vocals and groovy drumming by Mr Duris.

And I even haven't started to delve into the lyrics yet. And all this from an album which is supposed to be just an introduction to the whole concept. omg, i cannot wait for the rest.

It reminds me especially of stuff like "L.A."... similar guitar tones. Also "Things Beyond Things", the Ocean Machine bonus track.

I gave in to the temptation yesterday... but do not fret, for I shall pre-order two Kis.

Like someone else said in the thread somewhere, I guess I got mislead by the Ki youtube vid and the teaser when I first heard it, however the album was uberawesome etc like we all know. So instead of praising Dev I'm going to say that I was pleasantly surprised with how awesome Che and Duris were. Very different album... Looking forward to what's coming next. :D
