whats the best settings for export to youtube?

I've got a canon hf11, and I can't get the youtube size right, it's not wide enough...(it has some weird black frame)

Also, I use 'log and transfer' to load the camera stuff, but all of a sudden, it stopped working...all the info is still on the camera, and it shows up on my desktop as a drive, but it's not being recognized in the log and transfer...all the settings are cool in final cut I think...

Super frustrating...I have a ton of studio stuff on there and it's stuck...

Any thoughts?

Hmm, you could try multiple settings that will work for youtube. I like this one
MPEG4 (Divx, Xvid) format
MP3 audio
Video resolution: 480x360 or higher
Frame Rate: 24fps or higher

I have a cannon XL2, and I've never had a problem with the log and transfer. Thats really weird. Perhaps you could try putting the tape into a different camera and uploading it. Thats worked for me in the past. If that does not work, then its a computer problem, and I suck with those.

Wow. I didn't expect this. I thought your music couldn't get any better but there's this sort of "refinement" I hear in all this stuff. Maybe's its just the way time passes.

The HF100 uses flash memory, and is a relatively new camera, it may not be supported by FCP yet.

The song Ki is kinda Synchestra-esque i thought. Very awesome sounding. Gato kinda sounded like the first Budda test vid. Great stuff man, now its gonna be really hard to wait for the album.

And yeah the toilet thing was a bit disturbing and very unexpected, yet so completely hilarious.

I know it might sound really obvious - But you have checked youtubes seperate volume thing? A few times I've gone "Why is there no sou- Oh. I turned it off on youtube"

Sorted - for some reason I have no sound on Firefox but it's OK on Explorer <shoots self in head>
