Get/steal TV miniseries, if you didn't see it yet. It's cheesy in places and not that high budget, but very enjoyable. Beginning credits sequence was created by Dave McKean, dude that made that awesome covers for FrontLine Assembly or Fear Factory and music is by Brian Eno himself.

Went on an exam-completion binge:

Vic Reeves - I Will Cure You
Melvins - The Bootlicker
Mithras - Behind the Shadows Lie Madness
Type O Negative - World Coming Down + October Rust
Dalek - Gutter Tactics
Boris - Pink
Blut Aus Nord - The Work Which Transforms God
Twin Zero - Monolith

and some DVDs:

Planet Terror
Jacob's Ladder
Buckaroo Banzai
Repo Man
Dark City
Tideland
Funny Games US.

SO MUCH MONEY SAVED thanks to Zavvi's major discounts. The whole lot cost me less than £50 (though a few CDs were super-cheap amazon finds).

THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL ALBUM. Have you heard The Tomb to Every Hope? I was a hoooge Earthtone 9 fan...infact, some parts of Twin Zero's stuff reminds me of The Hummer.

Today I got-

Oyster card top-up
A3 Sketchbook
0-Size silicone sculpting brushes
Black Milliput
Fabric paint medium
The Orphanage on DVD
Hellfire Fest ticket

Shit you guys - I just bought a Bongo, not like the little drums, but as in the model of bass.

I have about $1400 in my savings, and that's around how much they cost. It is a huge expense, but I figure I'd rather be poor and happy, rather than still poor and Bongo-less.

Stealth black, fretted 4-string; I got the double humbucker configuration:

They are back-ordered about 3 months... so in about 3 months time, hopefully I'll actually have it in my hands. :guitar:

p.s Colin Edwin of Porcupine Tree has one hehe that influenced my decision a lot

It's an wicked album, my fave track is Light Our Way back, it's the only acoustic track on there but amaaaazing. I had a brief encounter with Karl Middleton at The Islington Academy in the summer (on my birthday no less 8) ) He was singing with This is Menace, I just pointed and yelled "HOLY SHIT IT'S KARL MIDDLETON", and everyone around me was like :| and he said "YES! I AM!" :D

Abydost wrote:That is one fucking awesome looking bass, congratulations :D It kinda looks like the chrome/gray one John Myung has. Though yours is sexier.

Thanks!! It's the same kind of bass as Myung's, except he has 5-strings.. and it's greyish silver like you said. Yeah I thought the stealth black is the best color... for some reason nasty-ass orange is really popular with these Bongos :?
