The Mars Volta - Amputechture

my opinion of this album keeps fluctuating between either amazing, annoying and boring (especially the Asilos Magdalena, Meccamputechture, Viscera Eyes and El Ciervo Vulnerable)

In order to cleanse the palate from the AWESOME "Drawing Circles" from TExtures, I threw in Evanescence's "The Open Door". I'm surprised how good it is, from all the bellyaching I've heard from friends about how crappy this band is. Maybe Terry give the music some much needed muscle? I don't know, but it's pretty good. Not GOOD...but it's a nice little snack as compared to the feast that is Textures.

Damn, those mid-nineties Century Media releases, recorded in the Woodhouse Studios in Germany and produced by Waldemar Sorychta still stand strong. Timeless music and production.
