Talk about other artists here (even though they all rip off Meshuggah)

When my partner left me last year we were listening to this. I've not heard it since but decided it's time to reclaim it back since it's such a beautiful album, so doing that right now. Didn't realise how fitting the lyrics were until now.

I have recently been on an old school kick and have been completely musically reinspired as a result. It started precisely here ^^^

It's funny what effect reconnecting to the stuff that formed your musical taste can have!

20 listens in and I honestly feel like it's an album torn between two separate identities - Chronic, Coal and Contaminate Me all feel like one collection of tracks (aggressive/angular), while Foe/The Cloak/The Valley/Salt/Echo feel like another (moody/spaced out)... other than that, though, I love it! Salt in particular has really grown on me since I heard it; Einar's vox near the end there is absolutely sublime. I think these guys are really destined to do great things someday; the talent's certainly there, to say the least.

As for myself:

Fetal Claustrophobia is were it's at... some twisted shit right here!

EDIT: Gotta throw this here in too; new Moon Safari album sounds like it's gonna be sweet...
