Talk about other artists here (even though they all rip off Meshuggah)

Global Communication - 5-23

This song was in GTA4 and I loved it. So I got the album and also love that!

^^ What songs/CD's would you recommend to a noob? I don't anything about them, but somehow... I'm enticed :)

That entire album is a great starting point. They're very jazzy, all over the place and sort of chaotic in part. It's difficult to describe them or classify them strictly. If you don't like Ironical Communication, track 1 on Painter's Palette, you probably won't like much else by them. And don't be put off by the screamy vocals if you're not into that kind of thing because that's not what they're about; it's musical changeability which makes them beautiful. The abrupt transitions in tempo, form and dynamic is fantastic. And their other not screamy vocals are lovely and make up for any unnecessary angst. Praha (Ancient Gold) from PP and Insomnia's Desert from Rephormula are my favourite tracks.

I'm presently listening to "Word Up", originally by Cameo but I've had the good fortune to stumble upon this masterpiece. I learned to play it on guitar (not difficult) today, but singing it is a problem.

Ah cool thanks. I'll do some youtubing around, and get a better idea of how they sound. Jazzy? I like jazzy. I love jazzy, in any form that it takes.

Edguy are wicked... awesome live. I've seen them twice (a couple of years ago) and everything they do/say is completely new and always just as funny. (I'm sure you could say that about a load of bands really... but they just seemed extra cool). They really have a blast on stage, and it comes across in the crowd.

Most FUN (In the most basic sense of the word) concert I've ever been to.

Hate - Morphosis, is awesome.

"Cease to oppose us!
Cease to oppose us!"

- If... WHEN I see them live someday... they HAVE to play that song. That section(s) of the song (Catharsis) is just MADE for the crowd.
