Talk about other artists here (even though they all rip off Meshuggah)

This band is amazing for a radio band.

They got slapped with the "carbon copy Tool" label a lot, but they're one of two radio rock bands I always thought had good songwriting ability (Breaking Benjamin being the other).

Breaking Benjamin has some good songs. Shinedown, Three Days Grace, and Earshot are all radio bands I really enjoy. I have a soft spot for radio bands who dont sound like everyone else.

Also has anyone heard of the band "Rise Against"? They seem to be a radio giant now. Their singer is fucking HORRIBLE. Dude cant sing for shit and sounds like he's a cocky, stuck-up bastard.

NP: Thrice - Vheissu

Thrice are one band I'm glad has never really had a radio-hay day. They have the sound for it sometimes. But their song writing and style is very different, plus the dude likes to yell in a lot of their songs and we know any vocals besides cheesy clean vocals are no good for radio...unless you're Slipknot or Killswitch Engage.

Theory Of A Deadman is pretty good, too, although their third album leaves a bit to be desired.

I hate Rise Against.

I've not heard a single song by Breaking Benjamin that I haven't liked. Dude knows how to write good, catchy music. They also did a spectacular cover of Who Wants To Live forever

Thrice is not bad. I saw them opening for Alkaline Trio (I think?) way back long ago, and it was an all around sweet show. I haven't listened to them since, though. I'll look into them.

SikTh - Tupelo

Wasn't until I bumped into Foord on Wednesday I remembered how FUCKING AMAZING this band is. I know where he lives, I might kidnap him and force a reunion.

ok, hear this.

I am watching a movie with Pierce Brosnan.

He is playing an Irish man.

Who sings.

Drunk.

Some might find that to be a pleasure to your ears.

You can decide yourself

Foord's new band is hilarious (I did MAKEUP for their first photoshoot in May, should eventually get the pics in a few days) but I do miss SikTh a lot
