I fail to see how these are nothing posts, but your wish is my command.

Sumeria was probably the track I was looking forward to the least. All of the other songs evoke images of godliness and musical perfection. If Sumeria is in fact the weak link on the album, we're truly in for something truly brilliant.

I'm amazed at how dense Sumeria is. I knew it was going to be heavy and 'busy' but after a few listens I realised how insanely stacked with sound it truly is. If the rest of the album keeps up this pace then I can totally understand Devin stating that some people have trouble with it.

The image I've had in my head (which I think I said a little while ago) is that it will be the midlife crisis to City's teen angst. Fast, flashy cars, etc as opposed to taking a bat to a bag of Steve Vai's cologne.

And listening to Sumeria again, there are a couple of parts which really remind me of Alien. Mainly the 'OH! WHAT DO WE KNOW? ABOUT SACRIFICE AND SELF CONTROL!' part reminds me of the talkier bits of Alien, like 'YOU FUCKING LISTEN TO ME, EVERY ONE OF YOU IN MY MOTHERFUCKING LIFE!'

And Joes and Pauls parts sound like they were either written by them, or written for them, which is great.
