The chances of either are pretty remote but avoiding them altogether is just courtesy.

Fuck that. I'm about to order 4 tickets for the Atlanta show. I'm driving 3 of my friends on the 4 hour trip while paying $4+ a gallon for gas. I also plan on preordering both cds with hopefully 2 shirts. What's wrong with listening to a crappy quality radio stream of a Deconstruction track that is freely available?

Has nothing to do with Dev, has EVERYTHING to do with the people that help enable Dev to be Dev.

You're not entitled to spam his forums looking for something that's not morally obligated to you, but you are plenty entitled to go out on a limb yourself to find these things and talk about them here.

Them's the breaks, we're a pretty open forum and there aren't very many rules, but this is basically the biggest one. Like it or leave it.

No one said you couldn't listen to the broadcast, btw.

I saw DTP a bunch of times on the UK tour, had a house CRAMMED with people for the London show (you seen our itty bitty London houses?!?! I had folk sleeping under tables!), which I fed and entertained for several days, I'll be doing it all over again for the Golden Gods, and for a week when we all go see four shows in a row in November. But I know what's right and wrong in terms of the forum, I'm not special :P If you can find it, then listen to it! But don't look for it here!

Hey guys, the way I look at it is this:

The way this forum operates is separate from me, so there's protocol that is beyond what I'm going to say, so keep that in mind.

As far as I'm concerned, if there's anyone who should be able to listen / download / enjoy or dislike, it should be the people on this board. You guys keep the boat sailing for me in lots of ways.

Yeah, I get shit from multiple sources from a lot of the things I tweet or write, but my whole trip has always been based around saying what I feel, and eventually the people on the business front end up seeing that as a positive.

So without it being direct links or whatever here, (which yeah, I'd probably get mad shit for) I say again, the people here for the most part are the ones that have supported this, enabled this, and have gone out of their way to promote it. The least you deserve is to hear it when you can. Just be careful, because trying to avoid looking like a douche gets harder by the day in my business life :)

...and that being said, as with every record, there gets to be so much anticipation, that there's bound to be a few of you who just straight up don't like the new stuff, and thats great too...

Take it easy!

All I can say is that you have a great attitude Dev.

Complaining about downloading must be like pissing in the wind.

I hope these albums are a great success.... You deserve it man x

First - HAPPY BIRTHDAY! xoxoxx etc haha.

Second - I am a huge fan, and I am bursting at the seams to hear ANYTHING from these albums but I really think you are being too nice and I guess you have to be (or feel you have to be) but seriously.... guys, don't compromise this.

Dev has done huge things for us, lets just let "nature" take its course and look forward to the 20th June at which point we shall have an international day of simulatenous Devvy-induced gushing!!! Let us all - and many others like us, pre-order on the 16th (I don't even know if I can from New Zealand... but I'll find a way!) and let the sales happen and empower our hero with the ability to make crazy Ziltoidian interesting things, mad musical exploits, fences, and do whatever else it is he does.

You are getting exactly what you paid for, and the money you spent will eventually get into the hands of the people who have earned it. If you feel you are not getting your money's worth from the things you are paying for, why are you paying for them? And how does that entitle you to hear something you actually should be paying for, but aren't? But that really isn't the issue. When it all boils down to it, you can do what you want outside of these forums, but this place has rules for a reason. Nobody is stopping you from listening to the song. You just can't do it here yet.

Sorry guys I was pissed off trying to get those Finland proxies to work. It was frustrating. Stupid Fin website. It never did work.

I also don't like being compared to a criminal. My support for Dev speaks for itself. I have every album and most of them are autographed since I ordered them from hevydevy.
