One of the first things I noticed about Deconstruction is that Decon and Ki (first 12-15 minutes or so) have a similar build-up.

Random thought... All the talk about Poltergeist a few pages back made me think. A Poltergeist is a noisy ghost, literally. So, you have a violent, noisy ghost (poltergeists are known for hurling or moving objects and sometimes people) followed by the Ghost album that is decidedly not noisy. Hmmmm....

I have to say after listening to Decon for the last few days, and then going back to Alien et. al. for comparison's sake, I can really see and feel the story of how the SYL records sound like a genius who has this incredible gift that lies frustratingly just out of reach because of all of the shit that is happening to him (and that he is doing to himself), preventing him from being able to focus and pull it all together... then Decon is when the aforementioned protagonist finally gets it all together, sort of like being sucked into a black hole and coming out the other side into a whole new reality (which is what Ghost will represent). It's like an intricate fractal pattern emerging from the chaos... Decon has the same velocity and momentum and "note density" as the SYL records but this time Dev is controlling the musical force, not the other way around...!
