Setlist was standard for the rest of the tour..

Disruptr, Supercrush!, Kingdom, Truth/Om, By Your Command

After seeing the 2nd ever show, and the 2nd show from the end of the tour, It's amazingly apparent that Devy & Co. have definitely warmed up and gotten comfortable playing infront of a live audience again. The sound was spot on (well, could hardly hear any vox for Disruptr), RVP, Brian & Mark are on it. Devy was Devy.. got down and went up the aisle and back while playing the ending half of By Your Command, assuming he was testing out the range of the wireless guitar system or something :P

Myself and about 6 or 7 others waited by the side of the buildling for about 35 minutes or so after the DTP set, and eventually got to meet Devin, talk about whats going on between now and Oz & NZ, get some interesting photos as well as a voicemail greeting message courtesy of Ziltoid himself

All in all, an amazing show. You Aussies are in for a treat, they're rehearsing 2 hours of material for the tour down under. I'm incredibly jealous :)

Oh, and heres a fun little shot I got while Devy was doing his "thing" down the aisle of the theatre. Wheres Devy? Hint, he's got the demon-eyes :)

Is that a seated venue? Does that work for metal gigs?

When Dream Theater played here in New Zealand recently, it was a seated venue. People don't sit during the show though, obviously. It worked well enough, as in I didn't get crushed to death.

I saw Opeth at this same theatre last year. It's seated, but the security guys said you can come stand up right against the stage just 1. don't crawl up on the stage and 2. keep the aisles clear. Devy had an amazing group of folks getting into the show front and center. Front left was a woman wearing a I <3 Devin shirt and unfortunately, no one near me on front right was really into the show at all.

What happened in the theatre for BTBAM, I really don't know.. but security seemed pretty good about not letting people crawl over the seats or stand on them.

A 2 hour set in Australia, f'n awesome. Bought my ticket the other day for the Brisbane show and telling everyone I can to have a look at the US/ CAN tour clips. Lots of interest and will keep U all posted as to what's in store for his return to North America.

Didn't really say anything about WHAT they're rehearsing. Said the band as it stands will be going to Oz and NZ. Asked about Anneke, he said that they'd bring her out when they could afford to. Said that the tour has brought up a whole bunch of new opportunities and "projects" that he's going to be working on. One specifically that he said he probably really shouldn't be talking about right now.. But yeah, said Deconstruction, Ghost, the new "secret" project, Ziltoid in Finland, and Z2.

Can't wait! Again, I'm incredibly jealous of you guys down there :)

I have to say that Devin Townsend rocked this show. I see myself in that picture above haha. If there's a DTP tour in the US soon, I am definitely going!

Damn Yes!
I cannot wait.
I nearly crapped myself when I heard he was comming to NZ. I thought I was never going to see him live.
