I don't have too much to add to the reviews. For the most part everone here pretty much hit the nail on the head. I was standing right up against the stage right about where wolfsong was. I too found it to be a little too loud. I thought Scale the Summit had the perfect mix that evening and had expected Devins to be right on par with that. Hopefully the Dev crew actually do read these reviews and take them into account. Other than that the show was great. Devin is one of the best front men I have ever seen and seems to really appreciate his fans a lot.

I too got to meet Mr. Townsend that evening. When he finished up we headed to the side where he was packing his gear up. He saw that a few of us were waiting for him and said that he'd be back after he finished loading his gear. After waiting until BTBAM hit the stage I headed out back and waited along with my cousin and the mysterious Froghat Jones. After waiting a good hour (out of sight of security) Froghat ran over to the bus and just knocked on the door. Ryan answered and then summoned Dev who emerged a minute or two later. He apologized for keeping us waiting so long, signed a few things, gave us a couple nice warm handshakes, and sent us on our way.

Thanks Devin... and we had a room for the night so we did in fact get nice and warm very shortly after our meeting.

i stood on the right hand side of the stage right in front of the speaker. was at least 2 feet from devy at certain points. very loud and intense at that distance. i recorded the entire set but the audio was to loud to make the footage worth viewing. except for about a 30 second clip of devy in my face screaming during "kingdom". epic...
asked for his autograph after his set. he said that he'd be back but i never saw him again. too bad, ive been waiting 6 years to see him preform. all in all its was a life changing experience. got to share the same room as my hero. what else can i say? cant wait for the next tour!!

Dev is absolutely insane.... isn't that why we all love him??!?!?
Needless to say, the show was a complete success. wishing he headlined....didn't really care for the other bands. One of the best nights of my life.
My fiance got some great video footage, couldn't believe how close we were.........AMAZING.
I asked Dev if he would be up to signing shit after he was done packing up.....bummer he never came back inside. Don't blame him though, upstate ny is fucking colddddd.
Not to mention the fact that poor devyy has the sniffles.

My guess is Dev had no control over who ran the sound on this tour, and possibly just a little control over the way whoever it was ran it. Alot of times for these tours there is one main dude for all bands. But, I am not a crew memebr, so do't quote me or anything lol.

Seeing Dev live for the first time was a dream come true for me. I was so bummed when I first started getting into his music a few years ago that he was threatening never doing shows again in his life. I totally think Dev owned the stage music wise and stage presence wise for the show...i wish dev all the best and congratulate him on his success!

Secondly, it was cold as hell standing outside! And it was even cold inside the place too. What an odd venue for a concert by the way... inside of a strip mall in what was probably a clothing store at some point. At least in my imagination.

Lastly, after having never seen Dev live ever before, I saw him the night prior in Boston and then again in NY. The road trip was only about two and a half hours. Definitely worth the trip even if it was just for a thirty-minute set! Absolutely cannot wait for Dev and the guys to tour again. A headlining tour would be sick, but I'll take what I can get.

holy shit dude, how did you record or acquire this stuff?

I just had my hand held recording device (an Edirol R-09HR - it records MP3s and WAVs) in my pocket and had a pair of external microphones that were attached to the lapels of my jacket. The venue was pretty cool with cameras and stuff. And it's actually a pretty easy procedure to record at a concert just as long as you're discrete about it

Haha I just noticed there was a thread for this gig. VERY strange place for ANYONE to play I think... Clifton Park?! ... anyways, we drove 4 hours to see Dev for 30 minutes, it was colder than balls outside and I didn't give 2 shits about the other bands. Great show, nothing but the finest!! I had hoped to meet the man but fuck, it was cold-- really cold and I didn't want stand out there knocking on his bus door asking him to come outside. Again, as I said, it was cold. BALLS cold. Dev, for this headlining tour, you gotta come to the western park of NY state!!!! PLEASSSEE!!

I was front-left, ended up next to "the frog hat guy"... Killer show though!! I noticed Dev started playing to this girl on the far left side of frog-hat-man a few times... was she scared? Lost? Confused? Even Kingdom didn't get her humpin hips in gear!!
