Addicted kids

Anyone else have kids who are digging addicted?

My current crop are 4 and nearly 3, and are generally quite into music of all kinds. they are big Maiden and Sabbath fans and headbang quite enthusiastically.

They have gone absolutely AWOL for Addicted though.

As I type this they are going full-on crazy mental at the breakfast table to Resolve. They do the same to 'Bend it'.

It's unusual because generally while they will nod their heads to something they haven't heard before (or shriek "Your music is too loud, Daddy, turn it OFF"), it takes them a while to get into new music. Addicted, however, they have gone sugar-rush crazy for from first listen. I am guessing it is the combination of driving groove and hooky melodies, but it is quite something to behold.

Anyone else with kids found this?

Don't have kids myself, but have 3 younger brothers, aged 5, 7 and 9. And they usually listen to whatever i do, but they have actually been asking for "that" album(Addicted) to be put on. Its so cool.

I have no kids either (obviously), but every one of my friend have been freaking over it...even the non-Townsend fans dig it. :)

I'm playing Addicted to our unborn bump. Never too early to introduce the little one to Devy :D

Holy shitballs, you've changed your avatar from the familiar site of puppets from the Dark Crystal.

My world's been turned upside down!

Ha, too funny. As I post my two-year-old is singing along to "Bender."

The older boys are already big Ziltoid fans, so they'll likely be at the Hollywood show in January.

I have younger sisters who love it when I show them poppy music. I let them hear some Talk Talk once and it was a hit. Oh, and some Autechre.

How timely. I've just been listening to Bend It Like Bender for the past 2 hours. I'm not exaggerating. It came on in the car and my niece, who just turned 4 yesterday, said "play it again!". So, being a good uncle, I obliged. Over and over. And over. Now I'm home and it's on repeat on my computer. Somehow I'm not sick of it yet. She likes the chorus ("the fun part") best. :D

My twin boys (3 years old in 2 weeks time) are only beginning to be exposed to the delights of devy. Got a Ziltoid shirt a couple of weeks ago and they wanted to know who was on my t-shirt. I've started playing them Z in small doses, they love it. "Ziltoid the Omniscient needs a coffee, daddy!"

Haven't played them Addicted yet, but will start in a couple of days! Looking forward to seeing the reaction. One of them in particular is really into guitar.

That's funny. All my classmates detest every single last bit of music I show them.

Then again, they detest me.
