I saw it posted some where, but I've had no luck with the search engine.
Does anyone know the tunings for all the songs of Addicted?

Dev himself posted the tunings for the songs.

Basically the whole album is Open B tuning (B F# B F# B D#)

Universe In A Ball is open Bb (Bb F Bb F Bb D)

Hyperdrive is Open C# (C# G# C# G# C# F)

And The Way Home is just Open C.

What about them? As far as I know there's no 7-string being used on Addicted.

Well, you can see it in the videos and .....I can hear it. Can't you?

I can hear down-tuned guitars in open tunings (like alucard posted above, which in turn quotes Dev). Which videos are you referring to?

No I know what he's talking about. Listen REALLY closely to Ih-Ah, and you can hear some really low chugs in the background (low gain) that sound much lower than B or Bb.

swervedriver..are those headphones you have on or hearing protection? If you look at Dev's videos he uses 7 strings on some of the recently posted videos while he was recording. I was just wondering what the seventh string would be tuned to...if you have it. Maybe Devin could answer as to whether or not 7 string guitars were used. Good luck with the bowling.

usually the 7th string is simply an octave below the 5th string, for example G C G C G C e if its C-major....

Well the one video he posted with the 7 string was a Deconstruction demo...look it up again.

Rob is right with the Open C tuning, and if he's using his open B tuning with the 7 the lowest string would be an F#

I really doubt he used the 7 for anything more than Ih-Ah on Addicted. If at all.

I guess that I have been.........corrected. Still not sure.

Its like every 2 or 3 years, Devin lowers the tuning another half-step

Does he still use 10-52 strings or has he switched to a heavier gauge?
