I have been away from the forum for quite some time, but never away from the Dev.
I love KI; awesome songs, awesome guitar sound, but Addicted already blew me away with the album teaser.
Once I heard the chorus from Bend It Like Bender, I got goosebumps all over and couldn't stop singing along (it's even my ringtone... how sad is that?)
So, now the full track is on MySpace and words can't describe how great I find this song. I guess I've played it about 25 to 30 times today.
Hats off to you, Dev... Thanks.

But... after browsing some sites, I found out that there's A LOT of people who dislike or even hate the song. I couldn't believe it; I thought this would be a fan-favorite for sure. Am I the only one, whose main reason for loving Dev's music, is the major chord progressions and pop-metal combo? Bend It Like Bender is one of the greatest mixes of those music styles I ever heard.
Then again, I am a sucker for major melodies, whatever genre music it is.

So, am I alone in this? Let me know your opinions.

I love it, didn't think I was gonna love it from the teaser, but I was proven wrong. It's a great song.

Nah im sure it will soon if not everyone is just gonna have to wait 18more days till hear it in its context and everyone that has shot down the album will feel bad coz of how awesome it really is and the shouldnt have jumped the gun on it.

I have alot of respect for the guys that have promos and haven't leaked it yet, shows some class and a bit of respect to Devin imo, it would be really damn cool if it didn't leak till cd release date.

It will probably leak 1 day before the release date, just to make things exciting wheter it's leaked or not

I like Bend it Like Bender.

But I want the whole album.

But I doubt it'll leak, as I've said before.

I've listened to each of the 'released' tracks a few times then stashed them away somewhere to try and stop me from burning out on them - I want my first full album listen to be nice and balanced. Normally I'd be happy to wait for Dev stuff to drop properly but with the postal strikes this end things coming over here may get delayed. I guess a leak (only if in top quality - no crappy stream rips!) might be a saviour around the day so we can all listen to it together.

Great if it does, great if it doesn't.

Bender is a pure party song. It's a short track but it has everything what's good and it's making me high, right now... even when the weather really sucks.

Venga Boys should learn from Dev.

The song doesnt really get to me somehow it has a vibe to it that doesnt resonate with my brain or something like that ,
but to be honest KI had the same effect on me but now I love it , it seems that the "new" Dev is much harder to connect at least for me than the psychotic,self centered,ironic,chaotic Dev I grew up with but anyways I am really excited about Addicted and I hope I can enjoy it as much as KI. BTW who is that one guy actually on the Cover with the black hair and Guitar at first sight I thought it was devin with an virtual wig on Oo but I seem to be wrong.
