I just wanted to inform people who missed out on the pre-orders (myself included) that CM Distro will make available all packages with ALL contents included on the 17th of October. This means that the autographed CD and hand-drawn o-card will be part of the deal...apparently.

My initial disappointment at missing out because I'm a non-US/Canadian customer turned to joy when CM offered me the chance to order via email. My joy then turned to frustration when I received the "terribly sorry" email...(this sounds like something out of PT's Voyage 34)...so I contacted them to politely ask "WTF is going on?" Here is their response:

Please note that taking manual orders via email is NOT a standard procedure for us.

YES, all bundles in all sizes with all the contents will be available starting 10/17/2009. If you place your order between 10/17 and 10/25 you will be guaranteed a bundle with ALL the contents offered currently. Again, you are GUARANTEED to receive a bundle with ALL the contents if you order in that timeframe.

Now I just feel...nothing really. I'll wait until the 17th and attempt to buy the fancy pants hoodie package and maybe then I'll feel the rush again. Ironic that the behavior of many of us in tracking this all is summed up so adequately by the title of the record. Or is that the point?

Anyway, I'm really thrilled that there is so much interest in Devin's latest work and while I would've personally preferred to order directly from the HDR webshob, I understand that the deal with CM Distro will ultimately benefit Dev and Tracy who would've otherwise had to deal with all this chaos themselves.

By the way, HauntingtheHoly, I too missed out on an autographed poster a while back when I ordered a Ziltoid t-shirt and I never got a response to my emails. At least this time, CM Distro has been good enough to respond, even if I didn't get what I was initially hoping for.

Ha! ha! See? I ordered mine when Synchestra was out and the goddam banners were still up after *Ziltoid* was released. Funny stuff. MerchNow's policy was to keep the banners up, thus generating more T-shirt sales (good for Dev which is cool, but good for THEM also) and simply ignoring for MONTHS any email from questioners. LOL. The company should be dismantled and value from assets handed out to Charity, Dev, customers....anyone else.

So now i cant even do a manual order through email.

oh well, any chance of cool signed stuff has gone out the fucking window now.

probably the worst preorder situation I've ever experienced.
It's fair enough if your too slow to order or whatever, but to not even have the chance to order.

I don't think you get one back at that stage - same for me.

01 Sent email order
02 Got PayPal cost and address to send it to, complete with order number to quote
03 Sent money from PayPal following those instructions
04 Got confirmation email from PayPal to show it had been sent

That's where mine stopped too. As long as you can see in PayPal that your money got sent to the right address as they quoted AND you put your order number on it as they asked then you (and I)(and others) can do no more!

I'm sure it'll all work out in the end - you can chill for now

I don't really see how people are all that annoyed by this now, as long as we are guaranteed the $50 if we are ordered what difference does it make? It's not as if people ordering now will get the cd earlier, just hang on to your money. I know it's a bit frustrating, when I thought I missed out on it I was pissed, but hey, I can wait a week.

I see the package descriptions have been updated, but what interests me is the T-Shirt package. It now says the following;

Order now to get an autographed CD, T- Shirt, exclusive poster and a custom hand drawn CD cover by Devin. Remember, these are limited, so act fast!

Has this been extended to this package too? If so, awesome. If not, still cool because that's a sweet ass tshirt.

It must be the case if that's what they have up. Looks like it's a pretty deliberate edit.

It doesn't say it here and they haven't updated the graphic, but it does say it here.

Dev did say they'd asked him to do a couple of hundred more covers for them, so I'd say it is likely they've added it to that package.

Well if that's the case and its not just an error in copypasta, Dev and CM have just improved a hungover, penniless student's otherwise morbid day. Huzzah!
