As long as none of these producers have both hands on the board. Devy has to have some input into his own music for mixing! It has to have that Devy touch.

Currently, I've got both hands, both feet, shoulders and a bounding head on the board, it's all good.

The only image I have in my head is you standing on all the faders and attempting to surf.

After watching the Universe clip I may need jaw replacement surgery...

...how the hell do you continue to amaze me, bro? Every new album is just that, something totally new. The only constant is the energy you bring to the table. I'm honestly more hyped for this than I was for Ki, which surprises me.

Curious...

Given that you're going for more of a Nickelback feel for Addicted, are you using any kind of drum replacement or augmentation for this record, or sticking solely with Ryan's kit sounds and working the Devy magic? I know that adding sound library samples probably wasn't appropriate for Ki, but it strikes me that that's the kind of thing that people like the Randy Staubs, MIke Shipleys, Terry Dates and Jay Baumgardners of the world might do... Having said that, I don't think we're in any danger of getting a dodgy drum sound. :)

Soooo many sample libraries.... I know you're invested in Toontrack (btw, the Devin preset sounds pretty wicked). I use BFD2 for my own stuff, but there are a few other good ones, apparently the Steven Slate samples are pretty good (or so I've heard from a couple of people).

And if you don't want to answer in order to maintain the mystery, that's totally cool, just say "Fuck off, Ro."

I was imagining more along the lines of someone tying Devy up with rope and placing him on the board and him struggling to produce while laying there.

Oh wow, really?
I suppose that picture fits the way the music sounds

One ballad like lady helen in the addicted album?

Eh?
Did Devin say that somewhere, or was that a question for him? Isn't the goal of this 4 parter to have everything sound different from past music and from each other? Not trying to be a creep, I'm just sayin'...
