Hey dev,

pre-ordered mine. Just out of interest, on eBay it says there are still 41 (approx, devepding on their update rate) available from you, is that 41 of the 300?

Im annoyed cos i just got back from holidays today, a while after you put it up for pre-order...haha never mind

P.S - I had downloaded it (and stayed loyal and still bought it :D) and I must say, its great. Not your best (I rekon Addicted will be the one ), and its not one too recommend to someone with short patience and attention span, but I love it.

Be proud :guitar:

Cheers

I gave it some time, and it sure as hell turned loose at last.
I'm not overly fond of the two last tracks or the female vocals, but thats just peanuts compared to how great this album is :)

thats funny i love the last half of the album even more than the 1st half! and at the end of trainfire, where the woman sings it is so beautiful

Yeah indeed funny. You're absolutely right about the end of trainfire, thats good stuff. On Trainfire she sings, on Heaven Send she screams. Women should only scream in bed (JUST KIDDING 8)).
In my fucked up head, the female vocals on Gato and Heaven Send reminds me of "En Vogue - Free Your Mind", and that's no good. I'm not saying she sounds anything like it, but it reminds me of it. Big difference!
ANYWHO, this album is really growing on me (and apparently everyone else) and its really good to have a new piece Devmeister available again.
In fact everytime I've become acquainted with a new Dev-cord (record?), it has always been during both spring and some major or minor changes in my life.
No difference this time, it's spring and I've recently been through some changes in my life. Life is goooood!

Hey, new member from Nanaimo, B.C. This layout on this forum look's different. I'll get used to it.

Anyway, I read somewhere about Devin having a sale with all his old gear or something. Where can I get that information. I'm looking on the HevyDevy ebay page but nothing yet. Was I just dreaming?
BTW, Can't wait for this massive box set, and the album KI. So much to learn from Devin.

The latest Dev album "DECONSTRUCTION" is a BLAST. Whoa!

Holy DOG what a heavy album. This is the heaviest thing Devin has EVER made!

What's your favorite song off that album? Mine is Amphibian. :chain: ROCK ON!

Oh well.

I was once told by a friend of mine in production that the more poeple involved in the making of a CD< the more chance it will leak. I don't know how many people you have involved or how many friends you send it too, but always gotta be careful.

Or maybe I'm just HUGELY paranoid.

Yeah, sometimes albums leak even before Dev starts working on them.. and that's just evil :patrol:

Hello all! I'm new to the forums, but I've been listening to Dev for a while now.

After listening to Ki, all I can say is WOW. It's so completely different than anything Dev has done before, and it is such an amazing album! Right after I got it, I plugged in some headphones, turned up the sound, laid down and closed my eyes. The album literally takes you on a journey, through so many moods, seemingly effortlessly! I love the vibe some of the songs give off, especially Coast, Winter, and Ki. Disruptr and Gato have definitely grown on me, and fit perfectly with the more "chill" tracks around them. I'm in love with Dev's playing and tone on this album; it's so simplistic and beautiful at the same time. I'm also loving Duris' drumming-it complements everything else so well. All in all, the album is incredible and I will most definitely be buying it when it comes out. I've already spread the word to a couple of friends, and they love it as well!

Dev, thank you for the gift of your music. Like you said, there will be people who just won't "get" Ki at all, and they'll probably dismiss it without giving it a chance. But just remember, that despite all the people who hate on Ki, or anything else you do, you also have a group of people who are in love with what you do. We are in total love with your music, and it brings us a lot of happiness and good times. And that's what it's all about, right? If you ever find yourself down from all the assholes who diss you or your music, don't forget that you've got us cheering you on. Thank you for caring about your fans like you do, talking with them personably where so many other artists wouldn't even give a shit. And congratulations on getting over everything that was holding you back! The change is definitely for the better, and it shows in your music! Peace

A bit of both, but then I know what you're like. :P

And has it seriously leaked? That sucks. =/ Well Dev, I hope you can finish it soon at least!

Theres a record I'm thinking of for 2013 that may have leaked though...

I heard this is the album where you re-utilise the Salmon Stomper. (Old thread reference for the win!)
