400 green tea bags though (no shit) the winner in the green tea-off was the Tetley Pomegranate...kick ass...

Maybe just some good catnip and naturally occurring intrinsic eyes.
Been getting into White tea, from my 'planet organic' box, "the rarest and most prized is White tea. Only the silvery-white downy bud and youngest curled leaves are plucked for their delicate, smooth, mellow flavour."

Weed can be a wonderful thing, but I think it is over rated. I used to be a daily smoker, then a casual smoker, and then I stopped all together. I could understand the urge to quite once you have a child, but I don't think I'll ever get to the point of condemning it like a lot of artist end up doing. Take Frank Zappa for example, he obviously hated drug users, and there are many other greats with that same mind set (Daevid Allen, Robert Fripp, etc..). Looking back on it I think dabbling in things like weed, shrooms, and even acid, can have a positive effect on a persons perceptions. For me it feels like my perceptions have been permanently opened. I no longer have the urge to do drugs to experience things to there fullest, which is a good thing. I also think that Devin is at that same point and so my expectations for his projects from here on out, since he has quit, still holds up to that of City and Terria. ... Sorry for the rant you guys ... just got back from watching my favorite graphic novel get pissed on all over ... ugh don't watch the watchmen movie. Anyways what I'm trying to say is, anyone that is worried about the no toking warning on this album just keep in mind that things get even more honest after you move on from it. Here's a clip to prove my point, no drugs involved, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LivZtancfJg&fmt=18

Totally agree, they can have negative effects too, which is why it should be education/regulation not criminalisation.
Shame about Watchmen, was looking forward to that, when are we gonna see Spider Jerusalem on the big screen?
I've got that cd, 'the first day', I dig Fripotronics, soundscapes, space groove, BUUUUT gotta admit, they sound better after a toke

Robert Fripp has done tons of cool stuff throughout his career which I know pretty well, but I'm now just starting to get interesting in David Sylvian... just seems like such an interesting character. I remember when I first started to smoke and someone put on Discipline, changed my life. Then from there I discovered Tool, then SYL, and finally the Devin Townsend Band. I don't regret smoking in any way, but I do agree that it can have a negative effect on certain people in bad circumstances.

Marijuana is only over-rated by those just getting into it-the people who giggle stupidly for hours. Others despise it when they know nothing about it. The daily smoker (such as myself) realizes that it isn't a big deal...at all. I mean as long as you don't waste every paycheck or sit around doing nothing for hours or drive...pretty much everything you wouldn't do involving alcohol.(though I abstain from it) At least once a day I still sit in a vehicle, listen to music, and simply relax.

Perception is the key with this conversation. Negative, Positive, isn't it still some form of change, which we all are looking for by doing drugs?

I remember when I first tried acid, I was up all night creating music, just to think that the PS2 light was killing me in the morning. I remember eating shrooms and thinking that my room was being attacked by an octopus, slowly trying to squeeze the walls of my bedroom to get to me.

If you don't like drugs, simply don't do them, but to bash on someone for deciding to try them or to be doing them is kinda foolish. Lots of stuff has been created while under the influence of drugs, and a lot of things have been enjoyed due to drugs.

I really don't think music would be where its at if they hadn't been placed on this fine earth.

Who knows.

This is my worst post I think ever, I'm so scatter brained right now so if this doesn't make sense I'm sorry and I'll try to fix this asap.

I would just skip the whole drug discussion, until i read that part
A ton of the most INSANE mindfucked and groundbreaking music in history was created by people completely unrelated to drug use. Actually, most musicians notorious for their drug use are known by their bad experiences with it :P

About the whole Frank Zappa deal, as he said himself
"the drugs aren't a problem, drugs are chemical compounds. The problem is that people think that drugs are an excuse to act like idiots"
From what i've read, the no-drug-use-in-the-band thing was just a concern about the music in the live performance, most of his pieces demanded insane ammount of attention, and he wanted everyone to be as sharp as a classical musician in an orchestra.

Having that said, the square rests

But anyway, if someone grows their weed or buys it from someone who grows it, and the money doesn't fuel the drug traffic business, what the hell, go ahead
I have to admit that most of my views on drug use are influenced by living on a city where crimelords get richer, people get shot and streets aren't safe because random middle class dicks think they're cool because they're on dope :P

jumping off the dopewagon, Dev, thanks a lot for the constant updates! Seems that you're as excited as we are about the record!
And you're my hero, cause i can't drink Green Tea even if i got paid to do so, even though i'd love to go healthier. Seems i just can't get off coke (the soda  )
