I've heard a lot of people hear mention 'four albums this year'? When did Devin say there would be four?

So far ive seen Ki (the obvious one), Addicted, the EP Deconstruction of A Cheeseburger, and then another ambient one (as just updated by The Dev). Read through this thread and youll find all kinds of goodies and posts of Dev explaining about all the upcoming stuff. Its also in "any chance of some news?"

I had been wondering the same thing Mazaro.

There's Ki of course and Cheeseburger ... but I had been thinking all this time that Addicted was a track on Ki, or somehow connected to Ki.

Well, the more material the better. That's good news, I just feel like a dumbass.

Yeah, echo-y guitars?

I don't think I could play without the shit...(whadda hack!)

New echos and sound though...

You know what I'd love to hear? Some Nudeswirlish feedback.

Anyone familiar with Nudeswirl? They released one album and some hard to find demos/vinyl. An absolute brilliant band. Feedback was like another instrument, and it never sounded like feedback. It was so organic and natural.

So yeah, Dev, give that a whirl.

Almost finished mastering.

I love it.

It's a 4 part story these albums, this is the introduction.

The theme (if there is an overt one) is that 'you can't win'...or that the idea of being 'the best' or is supremely futile and artistically constipating.

Getting over it, letting it go...you CAN'T control things...LOSE control and you can enjoy.

The record has an odd and unnerving vibe at the top, breaks in the middle (heavens end) then gets super chill. The control is huge, then spazzes, then gets pensive, gets medativite, has a breakthrough, then gets really simple for an ending.

It's a great disk to chill to...heavy as all hell in parts though.

Once folks hear it for what it IS as opposed to what it ISN'T I hope they will feel what I feel about it. (that, in itself, plays into the theme)

Then, the next record...we party...I start it next week. rvp is the drummer for that one.

I love reading what you have to say describing the upcoming albums Devin, but every time I do I just get more confused as to what it will actually sound like. This in turn gets me even MORE excited to hear what you have come up with this go round. Can't wait!

Wow, the theme is something I've realized in my own life, but yet can't really come to terms with for some reason. Sometimes I feel frozen by the possibilities...

You say you love it; have you ever finished a project and didn't love it?

Whoa, weird trip, competitiveness as a human trait. How the idea of winning and losing can fuck with the ego. It might come from early methods of finding out who will be a good leader/breeder (hmmm is 'good' the word?). Was it the movie 'Fight club', suggested no-ones in control? I don't buy that, there's been some form of tactics put in place to (at least attempt) control (poor bastards).
I love the idea of this album, myself not having much of a competitive nature, I like the idea of power through a mutual bonding of just being, and progressing with a shared joy in the heart.
Fuck, now I'm tripping on those energies you can feel on the completion of a joint task ( :ross: no, not that kind), when there's no competitiveness involved it's more positive, things can flow (providing a strong image of the outcome is there at the start). If there's control freaks involved, it can be a pain in the arse, and you just wanna get the job finished.
