Great call.... That's the same problem I've been facing. I'm trying to promote my music, but people don't want to buy something different and new... They would rather spend their "hard earned" money on something worth while. When I hand out my cds, I gain exposure and have lots of friends from it. Maybe it's all about networking, musicians are whores...

I've been talking with most of my friends about pointless jobs, thinking about how many we could use and how many we could lose. With all these people looking for something to do, shouldn't we be looking back towards spirituality? I think that something is going on and those of us in tune hear this, and are trying to understand what the fuck is going on.

We know that there is a stellar orchestra, lowest note we've found being 53 or 54 octaves lower than the human ear can even hear. I've been talking with another friend who is connected with the universe, telling me he was born of the sun. Explaining to me that the suns / stars are actually the gods, and the voices of them, the vibrations, speak to us thru vibration....

Wow side tangent lol.

Anyway I'm curious about how this will work for someone who has status already. I'm sure that you'll be able to tour, I know many people who will buy SOMETHING, even if they download the album. I know I will be getting the cd when it's released and hopefully you'll do a bundle with a shirt or something.. If not I'll be getting a few more shirts.

I've already 4 SYL tee's and 2 DTB tee's. I look forward to that damn Physicist clock!

Money problems?

Its harsh to see people who have a great foundation (or so it seems) fall below the bar. I often ask, why are people so reliant on numbers that represent something that isn't even in circulation. We use to use gold.... Thinking back to what I was learning a while ago, the whole Nibiru planet coming and creating us to mine gold for them. 2012 beeing the time when they come back and wanting their shipment of gold. Blah blah blah.... *slams head*

I'm sorry that we all rely on money, I'm sure that it holds people back from doing what they should be doing.

Humans aren't meant to be dealing with all this random bs distractions. Thank you again Devin for assisting in pointing my eyes in a direction that led to learning!

Hope to see you in Portland, if not, I'll be following you around!

(((You better come to Portland, there is a great following here for ya)))

Feel free to download it and check it out. You may not like it, and thats good to know! If you do, who knows? Maybe buy it? or not...If you want me to tour, it has to sell so...your call.

Omg wtf? Has it been leaked? Tough shit dude... Don't worry, I have bought all of your independant albums and I won't stop now! :P

...It's just... I usually download music, exept if I really like the music, then I buy it, even though CD proberly soon will be an outdated audioformat. :|

But... Im afraid of downloading your new album, maybe it won't be as epic as when I throw the fresh cd in my stereo... But I just won't ruin the experience!!!

What to do Devin? Pre-order now and download? Or wait for the arrival of the cd?

Let me go out on a limb here and try not to snap it from the tree...I still have not heard anything from Ki, so I guess that makes me a minority here, and somewhat hypocritical for posting on a "spoiler" thread to begin with, but I'll try to make sense.

I feel as though the novelty and excitement of purchasing a new album has slowly been forgotten. The "album" itself is no longer thought of as something we can hold in our hands. For most it is a small, yellow, digital folder. I assume that the intention of the artist is to deliver the highest quality product to the listener, to accurately reflect the effort put into the album. How can we respect these intentions if we download compressed mp3 files devoid of the sound quality, packaging, and printed lyrical content bled forth by the artist and carefully transposed into a tangible little object that we used to call an "album?" This is NOT directed at this forum, I love perusing the thoughts and ideas posted, it just sucks that someday kids may not be able to experience the thrill and anticipation of a trip to the record store. I still mourn the loss of my local tower records.

Really what this is all about is celebrating AND supporting the music of a great artist. It has always been about Dev's music, everyone can agree on that, regardless of the listening medium. I just wanted to join the argument and toss in a different viewpoint.

You've gotta give back somehow to keep the fire going.

I so feel ya on this. Luckily, I live in West Michigan and in Grand Rapids there are a few Independent record shops that refuse to die. I am thinking they will have Ki since they already have Infinity, Terria, etc. They specialize in lots of things too, and that is one thing FYE or Tower may not have. Local music, underground jazz that I can't find anywhere else, Stravinsky maybe? I can't find Stravinsky anywhere!! I want to hear this "Rite of Spring" that Dev referenced in Soul Driven. Any advice? And NO, I don't wanna download it....I want it IN MY HANDS.

Can't wait for Ki....in the meantime, Trainfire is a slowly growing fave. But, nothing tickles my fancy like the song Ki. The whole beginning of the album has a really raw rockin quality that I love. I dunno, its all amazing!

How cool would a vinyl version of Ki be? Maybe the inner sleeve would be in 3-d too.......aww man, I wish it was the 80's again and I was like 10.....those were the days.

I love the album. Pre ordered from the ebay link. Please start selling your albums in a downloadable lossless format, cd's are getting outdated!

Just pre-ordered my copy through the hevydevy ebay page, FUCK YEAH! stoked, I let a friend listen to track 8, before it was over he instantly followed suit and pre-ordered as well.

Mr. Townsend, thank you again for being you and creating what you do. You continue to inspire and for that I am grateful.
