Yeah, I got one of those a few years back :)

It's currently framed and on the toilet wall with all the other things that're kinda cool in a 'if I were still a kid I'd think this was awesome, but now I'm in my 30s they're a little bit daft to attach any real importance to' way :)

I dunno is one allowed to, in a sense, "outgrow" the coolness of Devin Townsend?! :P At least you still have it around, something like that would do better in my possession than in an attik or basement or something xD

p.s I like your user name, Slainte Mhath buddy :)

You're never to old to love something too much..........

I got in to Dev via SYL,i got City at some point in the 90's...i think i got in around 96 when i was 16.....i'm now 28 and still love listening to syl/dev as much as i ever did, maybe even more as i got older...

Also, it's gonna sound odd but when you're 16, you kinda live how you wanna live and don't give shit....good things happen, bad things happen but that's life and that's growing up....however, looking back at it, i've been listening to metal since i was 13 and syl/dev since i was 16, so as i've grown up, i've had the music of the dev with me which is cool cause certain songs remind me of certain times/issues/events/people etc etc etc.

I guess the point i'm attempting (and failing i think) to make is that music is music, you listen to it, you see em live, that's it....However with syl/dev it's more than that (to me anyway) i don't know why but i've always thought of syl/dev as part of my life/growing up and not just a band that you listen to...

I have no idea if that makes any sense or just sounds strange but i know what i mean....

Can't wait to hear the new stuff, whenever it comes out/whatever it's called i ain't bothered, but considering at one point it looked like we'd never hear dev's music again so anything else is a mega mega mega bonus to me!!!!!

Err...i also haven't said anything silly in this post....i can't go an entire post without doing so......here we go...

Badger badger badger badger badger badger badger badger badger badger badger badger badger mushroom mushroom snaaaaaakkeeeeee....

Llamas rule.

Cheers,

Me

You pretty much nailed how I feel about SYL/Dev. 8) Following a band as you grow up makes for a special bond.

Most definitely. That's the thing about music, you're not just listening to something that sounds cool, you're listening to memories, and thoughts from past experiences. I sound really corny, but I'm all about musical associations - it's fun reliving the good times. :D

I think you are very right. I have been listening to Devin Townsend since last year, when I was sixteen years old. Now I don't have that much memories yet, but I am sure I will have good associations with his music in the future!

I know Devin since October 2007, and I already connected some songs with important memories. I'm sure there are more to follow!

This month, or next year, maybe.

Either way, I can't wait and am sure it'll kickass :D

My friend introduced me to Devy like a year ago(possibly more O.O), and I'm 15 now, so I'm sure I'll have tons of memories with his music in years to come

SO, is this a leak of the photo that will be used for the album art?

Image

OR, just a pic I took in downtown Toronto a few days ago?
