Street teaming could be really fun - even if it's a little brutal sometimes :o

Perhaps something everyone can do right now is just use the powers of word of mouth - then kick into high gear when Devin forms that plan!

California (San Francisco region) is juicy, prime ground for breeding interest for music. Perhaps that's something to consider. New, unusual, and astonishingly interesting music will spread like wildfire!!!

So maybe that's enough for the moment, and for someone who's painfully shy

Edit: I was fortunate enough to hear the preview - and it is SOLID.

Yeah, I love those musicals Dev. Jesus Christ Superstar, Phantom of the Opera, Cats, Les Miserables', I HATE Rent though.
One of my fondest memories in high school were performing in Jesus Christ Superstar at a local theater where I lived.

Pretty much everywhere can be transformed into a breeding ground for new music. Austin is pretty receptive, since it's filled with college kids trying to be as independent and collectively different as possible. I know perfect spots to street team here, too--plenty of exposure.

Also, the preview is certainly solid! No disappointments there. I feel sorry for those of you that missed it, but I'm sure you'll get a taste soon enough.

If you want someone to cover the whole of Dublin, Ireland in Devy joyness I'm your man.

Missed the Ki clip but I refuse to open a myspace account after my Bebo dealings and I must suffer the terrible, terrible consequences.
At least that's what they said in their letter anyway.

I'd be more than willing to put up posters etc in my town. Aleady doing my best to get more people into your music. Managed to get a few dudes really into your music. We've even talked about starting some kind of SYL/DTB cover thingy.
So count me in for Motala, Sweden.

Oh definitely. That's about the scene here too. With everyone's enthusiasm, I think his grooves can be heard all over the place. :D

Apologies...

I'm trying to get some street teams together, what would be cool?

Working hard on about 8 projects (learning programs and gear, moving, family, cleaning my garage, and 3 albums, shit gets to work in about 4 days...c'mon brain, hang in there!)

going ki-razy!

(yowch...sorry)

The Dev wrote:Awesome guys!!! I'd get you some exclusive stuff for doing it...some music and material...

Talk about that in a bit...just need to wrap my head around a plan...

Webber was essential to me, because as a kid growing up in the 70's all those musicals (cliche as they were and as hard as they are to watch now) were written with VERY broad strokes of emotion....this is what HAPPY sounds and looks like, this is what SAD and ANGRY sounds and looks like, and as an 8 year old kid, it was very easy to relate to, and basically taught me an immense amount of translating those emotions into sound...West Side Story etc...

I personally think that Jesus Christ Superstar was a very emotional soundtrack, and when they made it, they were all in their 20s and pretty hungry...overdone? Yeah, for sure...but it definitely was good training.

Sweeeeet. You should do an instructional video/DVD on your mixing methods...I really would love to know how to get that "wall of sound" going on and how you do those big bass booms like on Alien and such.
