Well some of you may see this topic as usless and all that but... Here we go.

Well i have started to get quite interested in puppets and have started a litlle project to buld my own puppet. However i want to ask how did Dev do his Ziltoid puppet. I mean its quite detalied and all but are there any ways to do a Ziltoid puppet. Material, design ETC.

Your grammar seems adequate enough for you to use the search function. Back in the Ziltoid days, Dev did post some things about the puppet and how it was made. He didn't make it himself though if I recall correctly, so he might not know all the details.

Well i have searched around the forums and can´t manage to find anything like that. So a link would be helpful. Until then i continue to search around.

For summat like that you'll need to do-

An armature

Clay/Plastiline/Chavant sculpt onto the armature

Silicone or plaster mould (If you don't already know how to do this then I suggest having a bit of an induction on it, I'm basically a pro and I still hate moulding)

Cast in liquid or foam latex (the latter is better, but requires a solid core that you can take out so the entire puppet's "skin" is an even thickness with room for a hand to go in)

Paint it with the appropriate paint

Get some eyeballs in that bitch

Add hair and clothes n shit.



I wanted to make a girlfriend for Ziltoid, but I get too busy with other things and assume Ziltoid's too busy being the ultimate guitar hero to get laid.
