Devin and Contact

Greets fellow music lovers,
i'm a very huge fan of the movie Contact (1997) with Jodie Foster. Now this day i found out that Devin obviously kinda likes that movie too, because you see it on one of his Ki-videos on Tv in the background. I was reallly pleased that Devin apparently has a fine taste in movies.
After some research i came to the track "The abacus" from the Hummer record which uses some very subtle samples of the movies soundtrack. As for the soundtrack, it's a stunning and exceptionally beautiful piece of music by Alan Silvestri. When I heard some of his music in "The Abacus", I just couldn't help myself, a big smile grew on my face. Really made my day.
The most crazy thing about it is that since I know Contact and the Ocean Machine record, I somehow happened to draw a connection between them. I always felt that parts of OM really fit to the movie's overall atmosphere. That's just my weird feeling. And today, I found out that Devin likes that movie too.
edit: just noticedd that Devin even used a sample of Jodie Foster speaking at the very end of the track. Awesome.
