In one of those poopynuggeteer videos you're tracking vocals for a song on Addicted and it looks to me you're holding an SM7B. Is this correct? Any other mics you like? How about when you were tracking Anneke? Forgive me if this has been answered elsewhere. Can't wait to get a copy of the new album!

The only thing I can tell you is that yeah that's the mic.

I use 3 mics.

SM7 for the bulk of it
AKG 414 for the cleaner stuff

and I just got a new ribbon mic from Samson that I've been using at home for vocals...forget the name of it...'v' something.

Any examples of what you mean by clean? Like some of the falsetto dreamy stuff? i.e.- All the stuff you are doing behind Anneke in Hyperdrive...

Clean as in most of the Ki vox...

I just looked up that AKG. Must be great, cuz it's expensive! I seem to remember a mic that looked just like that in that video of you tracking "Devour".

I don't think I will be affording the 414 anytime soon, but I do have my eye on an SM7. Thanks for your help...

The Samson mic is a VR88.
