If you could have any sort of life...

What would it be?

A billionaire, bungee jumping astronaut with a harem and 40 rolls royces?

A monk?

A middle class soccer mom in a dysfunctional lesbian relationship?

A multidimensional party being in a peaceful trans-physical world with a constant intergalactic soundtrack and a family in harmony?

You, as you are currently? ...except with less acne?

...what do you wish your life was like right now?

I would like to just make music. Maybe not have Crohn's Disease and BPS anymore? But I think that might be one of the driving forces behind music for me. I will never know.

That, or something like start trek. Being aboard the USS Enterprise, with Captain Picard. I'd be an engineer, specialized in Warp Field theory. Or maybe Holodeck technology? Maybe I'd even look into transporters or something sub space.

So basically a scientist who makes music aboard a space ship with knowledge of something really cool and useful.

I wish I wasn't fucking broke. I wish society wasn't a fucked apart dead thing. I wish people would grow the fuck up and be more attuned to one another. I wish I didn't have to deal with the bullshit that comes with being an angsty twenty-something in a city full of brain-dead drunks hell-bent on destruction and promiscuity. I wish I had some peace and quiet. And those I love. And music. And beauty. And truth.

Hm. Definitely want to say a musician making money off my music, but there are reasons I'd say no to that.

I'd also like to say I'd like to be wealthy.

Most of all I just wish I could be doing a job I love making enough money to live comfortably.

I'd settle for being healthy again, without Lyme Disease.

If I could have anything? It would be absolute freedom in all things and absolute knowledge of all things. Perhaps I'd have to put more thought into it.

I always wanted to be a soldier, before I was diagnosed, if I'm being realistic.

It would be... ME. :D

Seriously... Life is AWESOME.
I always complain a lot, I have bad times etc... Like billions of people! And I'm sure that I'm doing better than A LOT of people out there. I'm healthy, and that is the BEST THING EVER.
I really love my life ("...is all that I've known, and it's all that keeps me here." 8)).

I'd like to be a part of a world that doesn't have energy issues (nuclear fusion), or disease. A society that spends it's excess wealth on science and medicine.

And I'd really like a set of drums, I've been air drumming for 10 years.

This is where I throw my penny in the fountain.

I'd say I'm living a pretty decent life as it is. (but could always use more money, but what else is new.) I do a show every weekend in front of thousands of people, but if I could change it, I'd make it a couple hundred thousand. That would be badass.

Film has always been my passion, and I would like to become "big" enough to create the films I've been writing since my childhood. I've always wanted to make fantasy films...

or...

OR...

OR I WOULD BECOME KRAGULOX, HARVESTER OF SOULS! I would sore the skies on a flying horse made of metal, and would slay all that opposes me!! Those who dare denounce the name Kragulox will taste my mighty hammer!!

If I could have any life, I think it would still be the dream goal that I have in my current one. I'd like to create a multimedia experience based upon the world and characters I've created and worked on since I was 12. I'd like to be comfortable enough to support a family, and that's pretty much it.

My current (completely impossible) fantasy life:
To own a mansion in New York, to buy a HAL 5 suit for me and all my friends, then pour hundreds of thousands of dollars more modding them to have long-fingered hands, mounted armour, and tripple our movement speed. To commission a theme song, then set up speakers all over the city. Most of the time we fight crime alongside Batman. On weekends we go on destructive crime sprees.

I would like to be able to make a living as a writer.

And I would like for my wife to be healthy again.

Other than that, I'm one lucky bastard.

But thanks for asking, Dev!

What good is a rolls royce, anyway? Anyone know? I wouldn't, but I'm pretty sure the best thing about it is that you get to TELL other people that you have one and see them react and give you phony "respect" in this rating-game, status-seeking society.

I could be wrong, I mean I've never sat in a rolls. Hehehe.

Many people have mentioned they'd like to be free of their disease or see others close to them or people in general free of theirs. It seems disproportionate for how many posts there have been so far, no? I can mention mine as well, Cystic Fibrosis. It's pretty brutal and I'm reaching "end stage" - but life has been very good, really. Interesting though to see so many mentioning disease, I was surprised.
