Tevin, you sound like you want to boost your sales.
Why not go for Canadian Idol? Or American Idol, they broadcast it around the world.

A publicity stunt like that would definitely boost your career and your singing would reach not only the almighty judges and national tv, but the listeners of contemporary music as well.

An already fairly well known name such as yourself on American Idol would gather even more attention. Also, it would be damn fun.

Btw, has anyone ever sung any Devsongs when auditioning for American Idol? :) If I ever auditioned for Finnish Idol, I'd sing something from Tev.

Couple of issues:

1) I don't think you're allowed on the show if you're released albums before.
2) In case you win/get really far, you're stuck to a killing contract that puts all creative and financial aspects of your recordings in the hands of the record company involved.
3) He should have done it before he cut the skullet. You know he'd have been on TV wit that :P

I've seen tons of people who have had record deals enter American Idol. :)
Not sure how they would take Tevin, but yeah.. I don't think they would turn him down.

Yeah, that kinda sucks.. but Devoid could probably just ditch the competition after hanging around for a few rounds. That way he would get heaps of attention and remain a free artist.

To be fair though, you don't really have to get very far to get exposure from it, all you really need to do is to be unusual in the audition stage.

She rules she rules she rules. Though she does need a bit of a groom. But she rules. Rules.

Oh Damn, Biert beat me to it - I was hoping to post that one
That woman is extraordinary, and the song she sang is one of my favorites! And to think, everyone just thought she was some sad spinster, awwww :(

I could imagine him getting all no's trying out with Love. I can imagine Simon Cowel having an orgasm if he tried out with Storm or Heaven Send.

hmmmm...

I think these idol contests are a bad idea for people in the world of respectable metal.

That finnish guy, Ari, who won... he's a good singer, but he'd be so much more respected if he had found his way into the metal world through people actually finding out about him and passing on to their friends etc. - rather than being played on TV to thousands of people who don't really care about music, just a good TV show...

I don't think Dev is like that anyway. Surely he wouldn't want to boost his sales by appearing on a TV show, im sure he'd prefer to boost sales by making music that makes everybodies jaw drop - which he does... its just that the majority of people are scared of metal, or anything that isn't completely simple/different.

Anyone that is open minded and has respect for different styles of music, will like Devs music.

The only real way you'd be able to boost sales considerably is by changing people themselves...

Its just a shame that there are so many closed minded people in this world.

please dev, unless you wanna be raped by the music industry, don't do any idos. i hear your first album, the record company has COMPLETE control over what you do.
