His daughters Anoushka and Norah Jones both have brilliantly shown off his musical genes in their own way. The man lives and breathes music.

HOLY FUCKING SHIT! NORAH JONES is RAVI SHANKAR'S daughter? I almost feel tainted for liking Ravi Shankar now. Oh man.... ohhh man. Before it was weird hearing her on a song with Mike Patton and singing "What makes you think you're my only lover? The truth kinda hurts don't it motherfucker?" because she's a contemporary pop artist... Now it's even weirder because she's a contemporary pop artist that is THE DAUGHTER OF RAVI FUCKING SHANKAR!!

What's wrong with Norah Jones?
To be quite honest, I think she has a more original sound and style than most of today's contemporary pop artists.
Ravi Shankar is an amazing musician and a really nice down-to-earth guy. He did a clinic at my school in 2004, and the room was fully packed. The founder of my school also plays sitar, and his jaw was literally on the floor the entire workshop.
When can we expect the first Devin and Ravi collaboration?

Nothing wrong really. It just... I never would have guessed it. Not in a million years and a million years is definitely not a length of time to scoff at!

The truth of the universe can be found in a single grain of sand.

To me, her voice is quite uncontemporary, pop or otherwise.

I saw Devy with Vai in Newport Wales, UK 93?

Devy was sat cross legged at the back with an electric sitar for 'State of Grace'.

I think he has even if he 'doesn't'
