What would a fan/admirer ask to Devin...

Hello everyone! This is my first post ever, but I've been reading the forums for a while and enjoying it very much as I'm a big fan of Devin's work.

Apart from that I'm also writing for a Metal magazine from Barcelona (Catalonia... ehem... Spain) called HELL AWAITS(probably the biggest in Extreme Metal in Spain) and this week I'm going to have an interview with Devin (cross my fingers and hope everything goes as scheduled), I'm really excited about that and I'm hoping to have a great interview with Devin (if you read this, Devin... give me more than 20 minutes ;-), please!).

Because I want to do a good job and make all Spanish fans happy (or anyone who can get a copy and understands Spanish) I wanted to ask you about the things YOU would like to know about Devin and about "Synchestra", not that I want you to do my job - I have tons of questions-, but I think that letting the fans join me in that interview is cool...).

So that was it, what would you ask to Devin? Let the questions roll! Let it roll!

Thanks in advance!

I had so many in mind before this topic was posted...now they've all turned into childish stuff like "When did you realise you were going bald LMFAO?!"

I'll get back to you!! :D

"Seeing as you two are friends. Is there any chance in the future that you may collaborate with Mike from Opeth?, or maybe produce the bands next album?"

I very much doubt this...but feck it. 8)

About Opeth. That's a question I already had, and I'll tell you why. I got to interview Mike not so long ago (prior to the release of "ghost reveries") and I asked him about "things he'd like to do in the future", and one of them was to write and record a record together with Devin and Steve Wilson from Porcupine Tree. That would be amazing...

So I will definitely ask Devin what he thinks about that!

I just thought..shouldn't this topic be in the main "Devin Townsend Band discussion" forum or even the "Fan questions to the DTB" forum?

Not that I mind, it just seems a little misplaced in the Synchestra forum.

Moderators :?: :!:

My head just exploded trying to consider how great this would be.

maybe you could ask him about the new Strapping Young Lad album, like how it will be different from the previous.

Ask him if he will tour synchestra much, since the new SYL cd is coming out soon and he will be busy promoting it.

Yes, I am also interested in this. Particularly in how it will turn out after having completed the desperately intense Alien and then the (probably) happy Synchestra...how does the new SYL relate?

Also, another question that is worth asking is about his electronic side-projects, particularly 'Hummer'. Such as: Is it finished, how did it turn out and when will it be released?

Oh, and good luck for the interview!

"Because Byron is in Fear Factory, are there any plans to produce an FF album?"

Ask him where he sees himself, artistically and professionally, 10 years from now. Does he think "metal" will always be a significant tool in his metal... um... toolbox. ;)

Dev's vision always seems to me to be in a constant state of evolution/flux/whatever, so it would be cool to know if he has any sort of long-term creative goal. Silly question I know, but you asked. :D
