I really like this little electronica EP. The music reminds me of a happier Front Line Assembly, it would be cooler if it had vocals though.

Your thoughts on it? :O

Yeah i liked it too, it had a very computer game feel to it as far as i was concerned. Very listenable and i liked the samples but as you say vocals would add an extra dimension.

Dev is talking about his Kermit project being electronic so that may be an extension of some of the ideas he explored on Eko i guess.

In summary, more please!

if you think EKO sounds video game-ish, download front line assembly's "infra red combat"

Squarepusher has some very video gameish stuff too.

As far as the EKO CD goes, it's some really cool electronic stuff. I still listen to it every once in a while when I get the urge to listen to it. It's very enjoyable.

EKO was absolutely beautiful.... When I first heard it I just couldn't believe how versatile Dev can be. I only wish it were a full album with 11 0r 12 tracks instead of just 3.

I like EKO, but I guess a full album of about 45 minutes could become somewhat boring.

I don't listen to it very often, but it's the perfect music to listen to if you just got up from bed :)

Im kind of on the fence with EKO. I like it, but i dont. Its ok. Its repetitive and just seems like Devin screwing around with some loop program real quick. Doesnt seem like something that he really liked or cared that much about. Seems thrown together imo.

If I remeber correctly thats exactly what it was.
