So, whats your favorite solo and why? You can include strapping young lad too if you want (har har just kidding)

At the moment, mine would be the solo from Sunday Afternoon. I think its perfect for the song and really marks an up point as the album is winding down. When i think of the later half of AE, i think Away flowing into Sunday Afternoon with that great solo.

I think the Nobody's Here solo impresses me most. Another choice could be the Deep Peace solo.

I mainly like Devin's soloing style; even when he doesn some faster stuff, it sounds like it's got a meaning in the song. It's never just shredding because of it can be done.

I think Nobody's Here is Devy's coolest.... I love the way it just twists and turns in outer space and floats right on into the "see you.... I'll see you..." section... Makes me want to cry. So much emotion!

Away/Deep Peace live! wait until the official DTB DVD comes out. I went to both tapings and both solos on that song the two different concerts were sssssssmmoooookin!

now that you mention it, ever since i read your post i've noticed my spleen has been ruptured.

i love the solo on 'suicide'...its just perfect for the song. the way it goes from being "background waves" to busting open into a shred fest. then straight into the meat of it...into the start stop....WOW!

Eaither Suicide or nobody's here probally. But I've heard a bootleg of the Away/Deep Peace solo live and thats defently a contender.

For me are "Sunday Afternoon" and "Nobody's Here".
"Deep Peace" is GREAT too.

I like the solo in Life. If you blink (your ears?) you miss it, but it just fits the song perfectly, especially the little run at the end.

In fact, just now its my favourite Devy song.

I've gotta go with "Away" on this one. It's just such a cool and emotional solo.
