I always thought that Storm ended as: "Are we tired of the world?" Still to this day, I sing that part. XD

I thought of one this morning. It's in Earth Day while he's singing "I'm so far away!"

There's some backing vocals going on that I can't make out.

It sounds like, "metal vocaaaaaaaals, metal vocaaaaaaaaaaals"
or
"metal volvooooooooo, metal volvoooooooooooooo"

You know, he's like, insensative to our suffering feelings. Clearly the song is secretly about a guy named Ted who is a huge dick.

Also:
Benny "dicked" us.

So Ted and Benny are a couple of no-good pricks!

When Dev was a kid, Ted broke his crayons and stole his favourite, purple one.

Ted did that because Benny told him, he'll exchange pornography for that crayon.

Screw you, Benny.

Dammit. You ruined it for me.

I really liked "Metal Volvo". Think of an old-school Volvo (the ultra safe and boring family car, with weird headrests), and deck it out with satanic decals and flames. But it still has a happy, middle-class Swedish family riding in it. That would rule.

As stupid as it sounds, I actually had a dream last night about test driving a Volvo. It was a small station wagon. The thing was, I wasn't allowed to drive it. The dealer, who was a lady, was driving. She said, "Even though this is only a 5-cylinder turbo, it still has a lot of zip. It can go 2 mph faster in 2 seconds!" Amazing huh? Then she hit the gas, and it took her about 2 seconds to go 2 mph faster. I said, "Wow, for a turbo, you don't really feel the turbo lag." And she was like, "Yeah, it's really amazing." Then I told her to take the turn at the next exit ramp really fast. She sighed, and said, "Guys always want to do that." So she went into the clover-leaf pretty fast, and as we started to turn, I yelled "punch it!" So she did, and we started sliding to our death due to horrid under-steer. But she let off the gas and recovered. That's all I remember. I think I woke up sweating. But back to the point...can a Volvo be metal?

lol...not that this has anything to do with Devin's lyrics... :patrol: are likely not going to be amused - but here goes...

Yeah, why not a metal Volvo? It can certainly be a goth one thanks to the use by the protagonist in the Twilight series of films...lol. I used to love the things and had an 850 then an S70 and, my dream car at the time, an XC70. Sadly, my Cross Country was a real lemon and spoiled it for me. My favourite pastime when driving was to open the sun roof and "share" the music I was playing with the masses - progressive metal, mostly. Yeah, childish, but still fun. I think what I liked most about doing that, though, was it was a bit of an anachronism to have that sound coming out of that car. Sort of broke the herdlike perception of Volvos, I thought. My 3 were very comfortable to drive for long distances, went like a scared cat and cornered like they were on rails, though - so I don't care who ya are, that was cool enough for me.

And now for Addicted:

Numbered!
"We are numbered. We are numb. We are nah-dah-doe!"

Awake!
Even though we know what he's saying, it's a little like "I'll LARN!", when he says:
I'm free! I'm FRAY! We're FRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYEAAAAAAAAAAAA!"

We'll give him that though. It's a little hard to hold an "EEEEEE" sound for a long time.

"Universe in a BOWL!"
:D

Oops. It's "and we're free! I'm fray! I'm fray-yay!"

I had it backwards.

And then there's the disputed backing vocals from Anneke on the last chorus of Supercrush!
Is it "away, away, away, away" or "awake, awake, awake, awake"? It sounds like "away", but "awake" would seem to be more inline with the rest of the album.

There's a universe in a soul! (rhymes with bowl)
