Few more ideas maybe...

earth day
slow me down
Seventh Wave
Traveller
Life
I really like the combination of these 3 in a row on CD:
Nobody's Here
Tiny Tears
Stagnant

But if you want to put in a calmer sound that will keep intrest...my favorite instrumental of all time is Away. The vibe from the song is just amazing. I love it.

The version played on the Synchestra dvd is awesome!! Great song!

Mmmmm... what else..

Canada
Away
Sunday Afternoon
Hypergeek
Triumph
Gaia

I hear ya...

There's a mess of European festivals we're doing next August, some good opportunities to say 'here it is!' and I think some of the longer stuff would lose the audience... (bastard, earth day)

I want it to be exciting, longer stuff at the club shows?

Opener has to be Truth, every time. Sounded absolutely awesome in the old days!

Would love to hear Kingdom (although I felt Dev's voice changed slightly around the time of AE - can you still hit those notes? How's that for a challenge!! ;-) )

Interesting to see Devin's list didn't include any Terria stuff - was that just an oversight?

Canada, Life (both best middle-8s ever), Away (goosebumps every time), The Complex (it's tattooed on your face) etc.

I know it's more than one, but just the thought of all the previous times I've seen Dev live I wouldn't want to leave any of it out! Have you thought about doing an 'evening with...' type gig. Three hour-long sets should just about do it!

Hope you make it to the UK.

P.S. Wildhearts for support please!

first of all, gotta come to new mexico, and second, my song.... i would personally love vampolka/vampira (dtb, i know, but hey), that'd be a good ass kicker midway through. or war, that'd be sick. oh oh bad devil!!!!!! i love it when Dev goes polka. solar winds, earth day, sister, trainfire, of course...
i'd have to say, all in all, bad devil is my numero uno of choice. i love that tune.

Hey, you're considered a bit proggy guy, do you think people would mind if you play a bit longer song? Also, would you include some jamming bits in your set? I mean messing with aint never gonna win/oodles. Would be cool.

Thats a good point with the long songs.
Infact that happened to me last night.
We had a long song in the middle of the set and people looked to be yawning in the heads... kinda lost em at that point..

I think you hit the nail on the head, keeps the long ones for the small gigs where you know just your fans will be at(?).

One song only, so: Deadhead.

But I trust your judgement, Dev's list would be one kickass party :D The only thing I'm missing is something off Terria, say, Fluke. Anyway, I will definitely be at one of those festivals, no matter where in Europe. Rock on, guys. :)

Unfortunately it seems to me that there are many people who absolutely hate jamming (obv. not prog fans). And in festivals, you really need to attract also people who aren't fans of your music beforehand (I think), so it might be wiser to save the longest songs for club gigs as Devin says.

Anyway, I want Hyperdrive!
