I agree with many here that the next step for you should probably be Accelerated Evolution. It's a heavy rock record, but the songs are deeper though, more emotional, the overall pace is slower than addicted. Definitely a very solid album. Ocean Machine has some great heavy rock anthems on it. It's not one of my favorites, cuz I'm more of a prog guy. But it definitely has a lot of stuff that you'd like, I think. Seventh Wave, Funeral, and Bastard are the best tracks for me. But a lot of people really like the more pop-like songs like Life and Hide Nowhere, those are songs that could have easily been on the radio if there had been adequate support from a record label. Infinity has some of the coolest tracks on it, but it's more of a prog record. Christeen is a pop song, and it's my least favorite of all the tracks on that album, replace it with Om from the EP and then the album would be perfect. Infinity has a very powerful feel to it, with some fun wacky stuff mixed in like Bad Devil, Ants (Maybe Devin's ode to Ron Jarzombek??), and Noisy Pink Bubbles. Physicist is heavy throughout, with only one really poppish song, but it's still heavy. It's definitely a cross between Devin's solo style and Strapping Young Lad. I like a lot of the songs on it. The mix is bad though, so you'll have to get past that. It's very thin sounding. My favorite track would be Planet Rain, but again, that's more power-proggish. Terria was my first Dev album and I was hooked instantly. For me, Terria and Infinity (sans Christeen) are my favorites, followed by AE and then probably Addicted. Out of Devin's straight up no bullshit heavy rock albums, Addicted is the clear winner.

I think you should check out AE, and before you know it, you'll be trying to sing along with the last verse of "Storm" until your throat bleeds. I still don't know how he goes back and forth between the abrasive screamy (but still in pitch) voice and the very clear and powerful opera-like voice. It's amazing that anyone can do that.

Wow, so many replies since I last saw this thread! Haha, thanks guys. I checked out Synchestra and I freaking love it! It's closer to the style of prog I'm into. Folky, crazy, yet so catchy. Vampira's music video on Youtube blew my socks off! :D

Next: AE!!
