I have superior 2.0 and metal foundry, and while I'm pleased overall with the sounds, there are some samples that feel very dead to me. I can't get into any of the snares. They say there is no EQ and that everything is straight miked but it just sounds kinda bleh to me. You can definitely tell when someone is using DFH because of the lack of variety in samples, and they do have a certain sound that's distinguishable. Superior 2.0 doesn't suffer as badly but it by itself probably won't get you good sounding drum samples for metal. The humanizer works great. I have not tried BFD2 yet, but I've heard good things. It's worth listening to the audio samples for each before you buy one because at 200 bucks a throw or more, you want to be sure.
