The place to speak about Dev's current projects, and everything yet to come

Cripes, I have entirely too many mishead lyrics.

Universal

Universal is a bit of a clusterfuck for me. I always hear "COME ON LET ME SHOW YOU MY BALLS MOTHERFUCKER I KNOW"

And the chorus I still have no idea. I always read:

Find our way back (the Universe)
Find our way back (the Universe)
Find our way back home...
Find our way back (the Universe)
Find our way back (the Universe)
Find our way back home...

But I can never make out what Dev is rambling at the end of the chorus. All I get is "BLAHDEEBLAHBLAHDEEBLAH EVERYONE SHOWIN EM DOWN" or something.

Tiny Tears

This one really bugs me because it's my absolute favorite part of the song but I have no idea what's being sung. It's after the big guitar solo and vocals slowly start to come back in at about 5:45. Everywhere I check I see this:

I see you
I need you
I leave you behind

Now I can hear that he does sing that, but for a few verses before that he's singing something else entirely different, but with the same timing and style what not.

Love?

This is an ongoing debate with some friends. I'm not quite sure if it counts as the beginning or Love or the end of Shitstorm, but before the Love intro kicks in, Devy says something that we can't agree on. Something like "suffer" or "suck it" or "stuff it" or some sort of crap like that.

Soul Driven

At about the 4 minute mark, the big deep boomy voice says something and all the other effects stop, right before the "It's time" and freaky "bodywash" section. The same line is repeated at the end of that madness at about 5:10 at the end of the song. I really love it but again can't figure out what's actually being said.

Maybe I'm just deaf, but there's so many things I just can't make out

I heard that it really is something like that. Not sure how true it is though.

It sounds like multiple layers of "I've got to pee" and "I've got a bigger penis" (possibly "I've got a bigger penis than you") to me. (and something else that I can't make out)

Isn't that what it says? I'm pretty bad at hearing lyrics, but it sounds like that to me.

Yeah, something like that. I can make out what sounds like "in your time" but I can't quite grasp the first half of the line.

Today in the car:

Deadhead
"You aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaare sid vicious! Hurt me! Are you ticket?!"
For: you are so vicious (Hurt me, I can take it)

"Will you save me? Pain! Pain! Pale!"
For: Will you save me? ...babe...babe...babe...

The Fluke:
"I aaaaaaam faith! filth! faith!"
I know the words, but that's what it sounds like.

Hyperdrive:
"So call in the night, when the river flows"
Actual: So cold, in the night, Where the river flows

Wow, that's awesome. Thanks for posting that!

I always thought the first part was, "Seagull... I echo...."

Had no clue on the second part.

The third one is much easier to make out.

What's a U2 chord? I think the chord during that line is A minor.

But I thought U2's favorite chord was D maj.

Remember that Dev often uses words that "sound" good along his music, so sometimes, there are just no real meaning (even thought you can always imagine one).
