Being an Indian myself, I'm really amazed as to see that Dev really likes the man.

Ravi shankar has been doing his stuff here in India for a looong time now. And yeah Ravi shankar had a fling with his theatre manager (I think) once who was later left with baby norah.

His other Indian daughter anoushka is also a musician. I think she's the hotter one (Totally my opinion cos I think women who shut up and play and hotter than women who sing :) )

When I got my hummer CD I was pleasantly surprised to see some ravi Shankar mention, but Ravi shankar makes the metal god cry ????

Because Im a sad Dev geek, I bought Ravis 'Chants of India' album that has 'Prabajee' on it, its beautiful and relaxing. I also noticed that track 11 (the name escapes me) is sampled on Devs own Cosmic Surf!

More people should listen to this dude. I remember when SYL toured the feather album and they came to Detroit. My two friends and I were sitting there in the back of the bus with Devin and one of the roadies. He was playing Ravi on the cd player and I asked him who it was, but I was so high all I heard were the words "Indian guy". I never knew what the hell he was talking about after that until recently. Dev was definitely in a state of zen....or just really high lol.

My brain is now about to be blown up again after listening to another bunch of musical supertalent :D , this time in the form of a dude called Ravi Shanker.
