I agree. It also happens to be what Glen Benton directs towards his vocal critics on the sleeve of Deicide's "Legion". Definitely a death metal cliche...
...though he may have other reasons for using it, in the context of the song. I don't really try to figure out what his songs are about. He mostly writes about personal shit anyway, so I don't feel that I really need to know what all the songs are about to enjoy them.
