Dev music + highway at night = BAD

I've unknowingly cut infront of people and drifted into the next lane infront of people a bit too close while doing more listening to the music than driving. Ugh.. no more Dev on highways at night.

The purity of my driving licence disappeared when I was pulled over on the motorway doing 96mph.

The policemen actually asked me ... young lady why were you doing 96mph and I answered, trying to lighten the mood, I was listening to Devin Townsend Band's Slow me Down. They didn't smile and just said ... perhaps you should have listened a little more and slapped me with 3 points and a fine :(

That really sucks! But its an awesome story none the less.

Take heed fellow Devin listeners, this music is dangerous! I have actually run off the road on my bike listening to Infinity while cycling in the dark. Had a few near collisions with cars that just seem to come out of nowhere...when I have been in a Devy-trance.

Devlab is potentially lethal. I can hardly listen to it while sitting down without losing my mind, I dont think even walking would be a good idea!

Not that deadly situations (except deadly embarrassing), but weird and funny.

I'm cleaning a local bowling hall at weekend nights after closing time, and usually there's nobody in there when I'm working. It's a big and quiet place, so I like to listen music from my walkman while cleaning. Once I was vacuum cleaning, walkman spitting out Strapping Young Lad with full volume and I went in that trance you guys have been describing. Happy Camper was the song at that moment, I was yelling with all of my voice, jumping and raging with the vacuum cleaner - and then the owner of the whole place came out from toilet, staring at me and I even didn't notice him immediately.
:dead:
My god that was horrible! How I wanted to die, shrink away unseen, run to the mountains, anything. That old man was watching me, I stopped the tape and the vacuum cleaner and there was full silence. Until he said: "I wish everyone could have working spirit and efficiency like yours." And then he left.

I have no trouble listening to Dev while driving, however, if i see a cute woman on the pavement, i loose my concentration. :)

It took getting used to, but now im no longer dangerous when listening to Dev. I can still be in the trance and drive now, but sometimes i just drive a little fast or a little slow.

Don't worry about it, she probably deserved it....people drive in the blind spot not giving a shit about you too, so essentially you paid attention to the thing that mattered to you, and she....welll she was probably thinking about walmart or Oprah...or at least over here in North America thats what most stunned dumbass people think about while driving....of course they talk on thier phones as well......

Human Nature and common humans need to be kicked in the crotch hard....like nuclear atom splitting hard to convey what they need to know...

Will that happen...not until they are killed....sorry....

so don't worry about it....who gives a shit really, she didn't after having a coffee and watching the latest BBC tripe that night.......

I always blast some SYL or Devin in my car, makes my drives seem a lot faster, especially since I always speed when listening to fast music.

Before I got a car I promised to make a point of playing very very heavy music... Probably because of all the DOOF DOOF from other cars
