The place to speak about Dev's current projects, and everything yet to come

...if you want to, that is.

Anyway, here's the thing: This silly little southern European country that Devin has never sodding been to called Greece has its own MTV. Indeed. Therefore, it also has its own version of Headbangers' Ball. Right now, they are having a poll for the Best Metal Video of the '00s. One of the candidates is Devin's Vampira (naturally). I should point out that Devin has never exactly been huge in Greece. He does have a few fiercely dedicated fans, but not as many as he should (which should be the entire population of Greece). Therefore, I believe he deserves the exposure that 'metal video of the '00s' might offer him.

I have no idea if people outside Greece can vote (if anyone could let me know about this, I'd greatly appreciate it). Still, if you have the time to place a vote in a completely inconsequential beyond the borders of Greece poll, go ahead and do so.

The link should be http://mtvgreece.gr/headbangersball and it should redirect you to the poll where you just have to check the box next to 'Devin Townsend Band - Vampira.' Should anything be not as it should, please let me know and I'll try to figure it out.

Thanks for your time, ladies and gents.

P.S. He wasn't even in the top 10 and has risen to #7 in the past half hour. (Those of us who have already voted can see how the poll is turning out) GO DEV!!!

Crashing a poll is exactly as easy as PZ Myers makes it look. And Devin is, in fact, NUMBER ONE!!! Thanks should go to anyone who took the time to vote and those who will vote, thus making sure that Vampira maintains its (her?) lead. And, of course, to Devin himself for making a video worth voting for.

For those finding it hard to vote because of the Greek language, just copy and paste the stuff to google translate. It was just the usual, name, email, age etc. The button on the left was the confirmation I believe.

Sorry for the delay. Work, you see.

You needn't fill out any of the fields. As soon as you're redirected to this page, your vote has already been cast. The fields are meant to be filled out only if you want to win a CD, DVD whatever in the draw from among poll participants. If you're not in Greece, by the way, you are not eligible for any of the gifts, so there is no point.

And Devin is still number one. And soundly beating some bands that are hugely popular in Greece, such as Iron Maiden, Metallica, Dream Theater, AC/DC and so on. It brings a smile to my face, I swear.

I just think it's great that the DTB is in a list along with Metallica, Iron Maiden, Rammstein, Slipknot, Machine Head, Nightwish, Lamb of God, System Of A Down, and Tool. Those are some big names! And Dev :D
