In case you read this Devin, I wanted to know about your early (pre-Vai) days of singing -- you sound fantastic on Sex and Religion (I can't believe you were just 20 years old!), and I just wondered what it took you to get to that stage. It sounds downright operatic, and your vibrato was down pat. Did you ever take lessons before that, or did Vai arrange for you to have a coach for the recording of the album? Was it all just road-hardened skills?

I've searched on the forum and found the occasional thread, but nothing conclusive..

I am also interested, as Devins Vocals make me wanna sing every time but, alas I do not have the awesomeness.

I believe Dev said his choir teacher taught him all he needed to know about singing.
