I've been having trouble sleeping the last few months, so last night i decided to have a bath to relax (i normally avoid having baths, it all seems far too much hassle to me compared to a shower..anywho..) I really, really wanted to sit in the dark in the bathroom, with some lavendar candles and listen...but I had no way of making it hearable in th ebathroom :(

I ended up sleeping much better anyway, a combo of the relaxation and the happy feeling I had thinking about synchestra

This album is flawless.

i can't say anything more than that. It overwhelms me like ALIEN does, but in a completely different way...I'm still freaked out by how perfect and honest it is...

God...Dev is just beyond everyone else.

Everythings Devin touches turns to gold

Anyone else have any cool experiences with this album or any other album?

I think it was back in March/April last year. I was on a vacation in Egypt. One day I had absolutely nothing to do, so I went down to the beach (the hotel was a beachfront hotel facing the red sea). I ordered a drink, sat my ass on the beach, put on my sunglasses and listened to Alien all the way through. Seriously, I got high! Some listening experiences can be pure magical when you have them at the right time and the right place.
I had quite similiar thing with Moonsorrow's verisäkeet. Pagan metal should be listened in middle of a forest on a cold winternight.

I wish there were more places like forests or beaches around where I live

I'm really jealous of where Das Schuetzenfest lives. I should take a trip down there sometime.

But I was really surprised I found the spot I found.. probably nowhere else in my town will I find a place like that.. and the sad thing is.. I don't think it's gonna be there for much longer.
