You know, Atari, if you ever write a paragraph I think I will take it to be a sign of the coming apocalypse. Your middle name is "Laconic."

No, in our case it should be (REPLACE nasal twang) "Synch-bloody-estra, cobber!".

I don't understand why people are making a distinction between 'sink-est-rah' and 'sin-kes-trah' or whatever - putting the consonants in different syllables yields the same pronunciation*. Unless you mean to signify that the stress is in a different place.

Anyway, I thought the stress was on the 'syn', but sin-KES-trah sounds better, so yay.

*Well, okay, theoretically the 'ng' sound in 'sink' will be very slightly truncated if, psychologically, the K is included in that syllable. And personally that's how I think of it, because 'synch' is a word.

Moo.

I agree too. And this is how I will pronounce it from this day on, unless I change my mind. Alrighty then.

Fuck, I can't pronounce it synchEstra, I can't believe anyone could, it sounds goddamn ugly, it's got to be sYnchestra. I mean ... if I say it out loud, it sounds wrong, like orchEstra ( yuck!), maybe I need to hear someone else say it or maybe Dev wanted it to sound awful but ... Am I the only one?
