I recently purchased a vinyl player and seem to be becoming one of those music elitist tossers . i was wondering if tehre is ever likely to be any Dev albums on vinyl ever?
On a independent label like HevyDevy, it would be really expensive to make vinyl. I think it cost $800 for the master copy, that pressing factory's use to crush the grooves on to blank vinyls. And all of that, they might not even make +$800 revenue from it.
Is vinyl really so expensive? A lot of the underground punk bands here that are just a bunch of highschool kids would put out vinyls instead of CDs.. I don't imagine they had that much money?
i find it really funny to know a TON of people who have never even seen a vinyl player, and hell, i'm just 21
and a fucking purist too. I've never heard any digital-era vinyls, so i don't know if there's that much difference. But hell, i bought an old ass version of ELP's Tarkus vinyl for 10 bucks, and MAN there's a world of difference comparing to the cd/mp3s!
